Yesterday i took some time to read the post of Chribba Two weeks in china

So i wanted to do the same, 5gig later i was on the chinese server with no way to understand because everything is in chinese, so now i'm searching a way to get the map, module name and mission in english to at least know what i'm doing like chribba.

I found an old post dating back from 2011 but nothing is working because eve has changed a lot in 1 year or i dont understand enough how it works.

The bad news is everything is in chinese and i dont understand

The good news is after 6 years playing eve i know how to play even with chinese character but it's slow.

The awesome news is it's free, for now the server is 100% free, you need to register for free with tiancity then you can play.

I'll keep playing from time to time but i'm so slow the fun isnt there as it would be with at least the item and map in english.

So if I understand correctly there is two different servers?

Why not merge them, I don't understand. This shatters my whole WORLD view CCP!

I think personally it wouldn't work. In our server there is a language barrier but most eurpeans can speak english or at least able to write something in english.

Plus i think its down to laws that prevents the merge anyway.

Chinese laws. I don't think CCP are allowed to host chinese servers or something, which is why they have to use a chinese company.

It's the same with WoW. Some Chinese company owns and runs the China WoW servers.

They had to change providers in china (to tiancity) and as a result their EVE was down for 3-4 months, so now its free to play for 3-4 months as a compensation or promotion i guess.

i could be wrong but i heard that players wont have to pay

they will charge for corporation who wish to install a POS or get sov over a region, you will need a corporate account.
