Welp, you are definitely in the critical minority on that one. Look at Rotten Tomatos site about that.

I'm happy with being in a minority.

Don't know, but if he has any off-spring, I bet they can't believe their own father turned against them and took away their inheritance of the SWT.

"Mother ****** did whaaaaaat?"

Maybe that's just me, I think I'd rather inherit Lucasfilm and all its subsidiaries than get a slice of 4 bill - you?

Ooooooh I'm thinkin take the money, buy the rights to Banylon 5 and Firefly. Build a real space station/hotel with equipped space elevator. Mine the moon for H3 to power cold fusion. Travel to Mars, maybe beyond. Find a way to stop the cascade effect of cell death. Return in one-million years or two and see how it went for planet Earth. *shrugs* Cant say I'm optimistic though.

I think Richard Branson is already halfway through that list. Big smile

You can't do that with 4 bill, but I get the point :)

Sure you can. Just get a bunch of British engineers and tell them what you want doing. We literally buy PC bits and build satalites.

Scottish, maybe; they're the best engineers, just ask Kirk.

Not all at once. Starting with space tourism, you build the rolling snowball of income and investment.

I'd like to see some good come out of this. I'd like to see Disney drop some of the TM's, such as on "Droid" and "lightsaber". Uh-duh.
Then fix A New Hope, where Han shoots first, again. Evil *snarl*
If they do that, then I don't give a rats tail what they do to the future of SW.

Simple question: Does that mean that Disney has the rights to make a movie adaptation of the KotOR series?

Not saying that they would do it, but I'd just like to know if they could do it. Or would they have to buy even more stuff (LucasArts, Bioware) ?

Disney can do whatever it wants with anything Star Wars related. LucasArts is a subsidiary of LucasFilm, so Disney owns it already. Bioware created the old republic setting, but only through licencing, so all the rights to that setting always belonged to Lucas and now are owned by Disney.

Wow, talk about an Evil Empire. Everybody knows Disney is ruthlessly greedy. But not everybody knows how vicious Lucasfilm (which has been privately owned by G. Lucas) has always been. The facilities are like a fortress, which is understandable-- they have to protect their IP. But there's kind of a harsh gloomy paranoid feeling in there. Like Emperor George and his enforcers are watching. And the pay rates for the artists and IT engineers are really stingy. Lucasfilm can do that, because very talented people will take the job anyway. Because of the prestige and resume-building of working for Lucas. Of course everybody works around the clock, but that's normal for people in entertainment production.

But the really vicious thing is how they laid everybody off at the end of the last Star Wars film. Like instantly. People had been working 80-hour weeks for months, in high stress conditions, to meet the release deadline. When the movie was finally finished, it was like-- 12:00 - Woot, we're done! Hugs, high fives and knuckle bumps! 12:05 - Rapid deployment team of managers invades and goes around simulaneously firing pretty everybody on production staff. The film series is done, they're no longer needed, I guess Geo. couldn't afford to pay the guys one more day of salary. Ugh And a lot of these people had been with the company through all three of the prequel films. Not very nice, IMO. Anyway, we'll see what Disney does now.
