How's this Navy Megathron Fit for Incursions?

Hi Guys

After deliberating about my first Incursion ship and deciding against the CNR I have started gravitating towards the Navy Mega because it just looks like hugely good fun!

Navy Megathron Incursion Fit

I cannot take credit for this fit, I stole it from someone else but I'd be interested to know what people think. Firstly, it's an armour tank which I understand is a little less popular and may limit me somewhat. Also, it's a blaster fit, close range (I can reach about 40km I think with T2 null ammo or 23km with CN anti-matter).

I guess this means I'd be no good for fleets that sit back at 100km+ and snipe.

But, on the plus side, I it does over 900dps with almost 105k EHP.

Please keep in mind that I have never run incusions before so feel free to point out the blindingly obvious.

looks ok to me, although i'm not a big authority on incursions myself. not sure if the 9km optimal will cut it.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I am not an armour tanker but I do know incursions, that fit is OK for Vanguard sites. Although to improve it swap the scripts for scan res and tracking speed, also consider swapping the trimark rig for a targeting speed rig. In Vanguard sites you mainly get frigs that orbit close in so range is not an issue just fast lock time and big dps.

Thanks, so its ok for vangaurd sites. Can the mega be fitted with rails and hold its own in a sniper fleet?

It may work, I am not totally sure tbh. Ask in the Ditanian channel for advice on fittings, they will be able to help you more than I can.

For static doctrine of Vanguards this looks about right. Though I'd like to point out some misc. notes on that:

Do not take mining drones, take 1-2 stacks of ore instead. Noone gonna wait for ore to be mined, it really destroys ISK/hour. During fight you will use your light drones, by the end of it ore will be almost in container already (someone have to go for it early, usually it's logi).

Medium drones will be of little use. Generally, your guns will take care of cruisers while dronebunny kills frigs with your light drones and normally it takes about the same time, so swapping drones to shoot the last half-dead Romi won't do any good really.

Since you'll be sitting there in a tight group, I'd recommend to take 5 hobs + 5 heavy repair bots (just in case of logi jam/DC/something), the rest 25 m3 are up to you.

Also you may consider Federation Navy Web over Domination due to better speed factor and (usually) lower price. Though it depends on skrimish booster available. If it's really bad, you probably will need all the range you can get, but really your fleet's spreadup will matter more than 1 km of range on web.

Speaking of sniper role, pretty much any ship capable of fitting T2 long range guns can get stuff done (TE/TC + long range T2 ammo), though DPS may not be too stellar. You should probably talk to guys who you will be running with to figure out what do they expect.

You're supposed to fly with logistics so there you go some stuff. Not the best for sure but a different version.

Highlights:

EHP: 132.5K EHP with 1 trimark or 144.5 with 2 trimarks - 195 with slave set -without active fleet links

Resists: 77/70/70/76 -this is without fleet links active

Physical stats: Shield 11650 HP- Armour 24402 HP (with 2 trimarks) - Hull 14000HP ----37500Armour HP with slave set---

1100DPS with null 13+18Km
1480DPS with void 6.8+6.3Km
1340DPS with CNA 4.5+13KM

Speed with AB: 365 without fleet links active/booster/implant
Speed with MWD: 950 without fleet links active/booster/implant (but your cap booster charges...)

Drones used are Hammerheads II active in all DPS calculations
Implants: +5% DMG large Hybrid +5% tracking +5% Surgical strike (+5dmg) +5cap recharge or change it for +5% armor

You can change the +fall off rig for another trimark and get 144.5K EHP without fleet links active, you'll loose some range but will not change your dps.

Cap stable with AB+Nos working, 15Min without Nos (thus cap injector)
2.5Min of cap with MWD+Nos active
1.15Min of cap MWD active
Stable 60% with injector active
