Ladar sites, where are you ?

Welcome, space-explorers.

I know that ladar sites depend of the region.
It took me time, but I made an (almost) complete map of the myko/cyto gas clouds.
They spawn in a few constellations, and have a low chance to spawn "near them".

I tried to get some of a particular gas. I found a Ladar site and haversted everything. Good.
The problem is, for the next 3 days, I didnt find any more ladar site of this particular kind.
Scanning a whole region is not an easy task (and I could have made mistakes), but I ran my test for the gas that has the smallest "spawn location possibility" I know.

So, what should I do ?
1) Advertise my need of ladar sigs (paying 1m for a high sec bookmark or the name of the system).
2) Stop losing time, because the booster manufacturing is really not that much profitable, even without that ladar scarcity.

If you are talking low sec, only the myko gas clouds are tied to constellation, and that is only a few of them. Others can be found in the respective region as well.

If you can find someone you trust then option 1 is okay, but still risky. Option 2....just remember that "minerals you mine aren't free" no matter what. It may be in your best interest to contact some locals in the necessary low sec/0.0 regions and get some isk/unit deals going. This would then allow you to spend the time you'd otherwise be harvesting gas, making money other ways or doing other things entirely.

Also, don't forget about the hacking ladars Cool

Just beware that some locals may harvest the local gas and if they find you harvesting gas in their area...well....heads will roll.

How may I drug you with drugs?

3) Tighten the belt, update the insurance and head to low-sec where there's always gas to be found in the right constellations.
4) Pull on the helmet, update the insurance & clone status and head to one of the 0.0 constellations for a shot at the real source.

Seriously, I spend a good deal of time in and around one of the low-sec booster constellations, and I really don't have as much trouble as people claim. I've been 'interrupted' only once in the last 3 months, and havn't seen a gate camp with more than 2 ships in... It's been a long time.

The threat is always there in principal, but in practice you're more afraid of what could hapen than what actually does happen.

Expect to loose some ships (I haven't, but that could have been luck) while you get to know the locals and get insta & SS book marks set up. Use cloaky ships when you can, and expensive ships only when you must. The rest of the time, use throw-away T1s. If you have losses, write it off as a cost of doing business in dangerous territory, learn from it & get back to it.

I should have precised, my test was on myko, and not a COSMOS version.

I made another test.
I scanned twice the COSMOS constellation in the Forge yesterday, one the worning, one the evening.
I didnt find any ladar site. I thought I could find some Amber myko, but couldnt find any.

COSMOS gas are not "tied" to a constellation. They can spawn "further".

I dont see the risk with the first option if I pay for Empire sigs (the main ship to harvest gas is a ferox, it's cheap and hard to gank).
I know the line "minerals you mine" etc but I'm doing this because I'm a bit bored in EVE and willing to try something else. That's why the profability is not a major concern -but scanning for 3 hours and finding nothing is-.

I don't. :)

EDIT for the 2 new answers :
Your advice are welcome, but I did my fair part of PVP in EVE (and I got some cloud in low).
Gas harvesting is not like mining or regular exploration or missioning : going into a "deeper" system is not always more rewarding. Last time I checked, viridian myko was more expensive than viridian cyto.
If I want to make synth boosters, which are easily tradable, I have no choice : I must find a ladar site in Empire. Going into lowsec/00 will not help.

Sorry, my personal bias basically made me completely glaze over the "high sec" part of that. I just don't see any point in synth boosters.

As for ties to COSMOS, I have always been able to find a couple myko sites in low sec "ladar" constellations. They spawn outside of it as well, but I am fairly certain there is a fixed amount to the constellation as well.

And I disagree on the "going deeper for better" sentiment you expressed. Sure myko may be more but....synth boosters are to me, a joke. I have only ever manufactured standard/improved/strong and I think that is where the real market is at, but to each his own. If you're satisfied with the myko/synth market, then enjoy and definitely setup a system for buying bookmarks.

If only they could give a +6% or something like this... Straight

A few months ago, I heard about an "exploration channel". Does someone know its name ? Maybe I could find in it what I'm looking for.

Attention
If you get the time, could you check if mine is accurate?

Impressive list. I didnt double checked everything, but I'm sure I found a Ghost Nebula in high sec.

And I found an "eagle" in high sec. From your list it should only spawn in low/00 P

Yeah, Eagles and Ghosts most definitely spawn in highsec. I found 6 of them in highsec last night.
