The supplies of isk have increased. But it's sinks have diminished. The supply of plex have remained consistent but it's demand and sinks have increased?

How do we solve this? Simple like the real world economy we create more taxes. There will be a tax for everything.

1. Gate toll tax a rate of 100 isk per jump. Inability to pay won't stop you from jumping but will be taken from any transaction.

2. Station usage services and hangar tax.

3. Ship tax. You are required to pay a flat Tax based on ship mineral cost.

4. Local communications tax to utilize local.

5. Docking/undocking task.

And much much more.

This new tax system will nickel and dime everyone helping combat excess isk.

A rise in pay always results in higher inflation.

You could try making some money, and perhaps then you wouldn't be so poor.

Good math with bad thinking gives bad results.

If you really want to tax to get rid of tons of isk tax transactions, get rid of daytrading scams etc. Half problem solved.

It's won't get rid of transactions it will simply skim a bit of isk. Lots of taxes will greatly help combat inflation.

Every time you kill a player you are allowed to purchase one rhinestone to decorate your ship until your ship is completely covered in rhinestones and so much bling, it will have a signature radius the size of the sun.

For each rhinestone you must pay 10,000 isk in taxes owed to the people.

Nope because you're not taxing enough those who already have far too much isk and will not even see the difference with your system, but your idea will obviously have a huge impact on new occasional/players who are not running this game to be space rich but to have some fun.

Increase high sec market/contract fees so thse making huge amounts of trading also pay more fees and not less because stupid high sec skills. By the way null sec is player driven content so CCP or whatever NPC shouldn't ever state the amount of local market/contract fees.

I have no problem right now, so I do not like your idea at all. I will leave issues like this to CCP, there is a damn good reason I do not pay you my subscription fee, and your idea is that reason.

inflation will eventually take care of itself.

a year ago, mining in a maxed orca paid less than running L4s. Since then, the price of mins has doubled. I can still make more L4ing than mining, but that diff is razor thin.

prices double again, I am going mining.

Fewer mission runners and more miners will stop the inflation.

Also, I have not seen insurance payouts keep up with the mineral price increase.

Perhaps what we are actually seeing is not "systemic inflation" in an unstopable upward spiral but rather an adjustment in mineral prices with the removal of drone drop that is just bringing the return from mining up to the level of pay from missioning. Perhaps this price adjustment will stop itself once those prices have adjusted to the point that mining is as profitable as missioning.

We need better clothes like something with spikes on or skulls. Maybe a WW2 style German officer uniform with the cap and everything. It sucks that the clothes you get in character creation are better than the stuff you can get for AUR. So maybe you can do something with inflation idk.

You should be confident that CCP watches the economy and I think inflation and market dynamics are topics you don't have to worry about.

No, not more industry slots. A race track for frigates is better.

Just wait for Dust and see if it does the trick such as it would be intended....on the other hand....

PLEX is to be blamed so just stop buying it....oh wait

It would be interesting to have a follow up on this Dev Blog on inflation .
