i go thru periods of time where i don't even log into eve for several weeks, otherwise i would have gotten fed up of it a long time ago...Yes, i've also been playing non stop since july 2003, so i'm not far off having played this game for a entire decade.

Blame having pretty much no objective left to accomplish for the " bitter" vet crowd...Sad

It's still 2012 so I take offense to your claiming of playing for a decade (8 months is not near) Evil

Err no, the game was launched on may 9th 2003, so it's really 7 months and 7 days if you want to be absolutely precise about it.
P

In any case, after playing the game for 9+ years straight, periods of time numbering in months isn't considered a long time in my case, but i guess that varies from player to player...

Started eve three days after release.
Pvp'd for yrs, fought Moo, played a part in many nullsec actions, ending with the rise and fall of Atlas.

Then had a kid, took a small break then came back to the neat game ever.

And wow.

It was never bout the cash, had freighters(1ganked), dreads, and a carrier, lots of isk, ect.

The culture has changed, can't a old bittervet just do time in eve running missions, pos manufacturing, occasional mining in the few hours I can get away from real life a day?

Apparently not, harrasment in game, on these god awful forums is crazy, who needs all the bullshyte.

So my main account ended yesterday and this one is done too soon.

No you can't have my stuff, and it was alot.

Small note to CCP: IT IS THE HIGHSEC POP THAT MAINLY FUNDS EVE.

Think bout it.

EVE was never about the high sec anyway. You should know that. The thrill of the hunt in 0.0, the ganking poor noobs trying to sneak into null and the roaming drunk parties.

What exactly did you think was going to happen in high sec? You went from hunter to hunted.

Go back to null, live in an NPC 0.0 station, travel lite. Stop crying and don't be dumb. There is no other game like this.

To be honest, i used to believe that too when the game was much harder, skills trained a lot more slowly and money making activities only provided a tiny fraction of what they do today, so killing someone wasn't just for the kill mail and it was a huge setback to the person that got killed and he/she has to work for several days or even weeks( depending on how much they lost), to recover from it.

It was a time when there was actually PVP, wich a single ship went against another single ship and who had the best fittings and used the best tactics, won the confrontation...That's PVP in my book, not the usual stuff we see today where there's 10+ ships against one, many times it's usually a hauler or some other ship with no chance to win or escape as the victim, and the agressors post the killmail on killboards as if they did something incredible in game....Makes me want to puke to be honest.

Even major aliances are starting wars with eachother because they're bored and want to keep their PVP divisions happy...It's isn't about getting richer, or controling more territory wich can be rented out, or owning more outposts and moons producing moon goo, or mining belts or systems that spawn officers.

It's just sheer boredom...Roll
