AFTER ACTION REPORT - SERPENTIS ATTACK ON EVAULON VII

At 1813 today, a distorted transmission was intercepted on the fluid router channel "Live Events". The sender, one Roella Avechomon, was under heavy attack by Serpentis ground and air forces immediately following a gas attack on the facilities planetside.

Upon discovering the location of the fight, scouts were deployed to the area in an attempt to intervene. Unfortunately, by the time the scouts arrived, the transmission had been cut off, replaced by an automated distress signal. We believe at this point that the personel of that facility did not survive. Due to pirate interference, response forces were unable to establish an orbital position.

Some time afterward, a group of six Serpentis and Guardian Angel capsuleers arrived in Vindicators and established a position in high orbit. A few capsuleers attempted to assail this beachhead, but were repelled easily. During this time, a ground team led by Ewla Hondald was deployed in an attempt to secure a substance known as Isirus. We have very little data on Isirus, except that it is a plant, and that the gas attack was somehow related to it's fumes. One of the ground officers mentioned that the Serpentis Corporation stood to gain a profit by refining this plant, likely for use as a narcotic, or, more worrying, a chemical weapon.

At this point a pair of pilots from Moira arrived on scene, one of them promptly lighting a cynosural beacon, calling in a small FDU capital group. The Federation forces promptly drove back the Serpentis fleet. Shortly after, Luminaire General Seriphyn Inhonores ordered a Federation Marine strike to locate the isolated ground forces. Current intel suggests the ground forces have gone underground, and are currently marooned on the planet.
