I have a char that can sit in a BS but doesnt have the skills to fit it because hes realy nothing but a corp builder. What is the fastest way to get his faction up to where he can place a POS in 0.5 or higher?

Iv been away for years so just trying to figure this out all over again lol.

Join Faction Warfare. Dual box him, he takes the missions but a good combat toon does the missions so you don't have to train up all the skills. He takes all the reward on turning in the mission, and as long as you're fleeted and select the sharing option, he'll get standings.

I did it by doing distribution missions. Not the fastest way but it didn't take forever. Every once in awhile you will get a combat storyline mission but you can usually pay someone or ask in corp to help out- those also give very large standing boost. Up to 5 isn't bad getting to 8 was the kicker...

Edit: Also you can find lvl3 mission hubs where you can pick up 2-3 distribution missions at the same time speeds things up. Fit the cargo ship with nanofiber/astro rigs as you rarely need more space.

If you're not married to your actual Corp name, there are players in the 'For Sale' forums who'll place a tower for you for isk. Price depends on the size/modules of the pos.

A simple option is to accept combat missions with the alt, but run the combat mission with your combat pilot. If the two characters are on the same account it gets a bit fiddly, but you can warp to the site, bookmark the location, contract the bookmark to the combat character, switch characters, warp the combat character to the bookmark to run the mission, switch characters, hand in the mission.

Painful.

Or make friends. Have your friends run the missions for you, with you warping around in your pod or shuttle to give the combat pilots a warp-in to the mission site (or you fly as squad/wing/fleet commander and warp the fleet around).

If needed, it wouldn't take you very long to train up the Core Fitting skills. Probably a Cruiser or Battlecruiser would be the highest ship needed to get unmodified +5.00 Faction standing.

There's a lot of Event Agent missions that can be easily completed very quickly. The 'Plan' may be very helpful. Mainly the level 1 and level 2 Event Agents.

I did this, I had two accounts, one with an industrial/miner and a combat pilot. If you fleet up, both the pilots get half the standings increase the missions give you. That way you can get enough standings to do missions or refine 100% at stations owned by the agent's corporation.

This can be done with other corp members or firends as well. Often they already have +10.0 so don't need any more standings and just ask you to return the mission rewards and buy stuff for them with the LP you get.
