Maybe he's taking a break from EVE. Everyone gets tired of EVE from time to time and goes off to play another game and return when he has renewed interest.

And sad part is, people outside EvE hear only about bad guy who drunk a lot and do horrible things you think this make him hero ? so you suggest Mittani is famus in positive aspect outside eve? Another sad part Mittani is probably good person even he do bad thing while drunked but people outside EvE dont care about Mittani in game and his history, use logic...
