Just the first thing that popped into my head when I made this guy. I didn't think I'd keep him. I was just trying out the game and figured that if I liked it I would learn from the mistakes I made on my first account and name myself something clever with the next. Turns out that it takes more than a few days to "try out" EvE. Weeks turned into months turned into years and now I'm stuck with it.

My name comes from the Greek God Hermes. He slayed a creature named Argus/Argos and I've always enjoyed the stories in relation to him as well. It is a nickname for him at times.

Aphatus was a name I pulled out of my backside for a sergeant in my Warhammer 40k Blood Angles army. After a glorious victory at the Battle of My Buddy's Livingroom against the foolish Juice Marines (in which his squad bravely defended the last capture point) I developed a soft spot for the name.

Someone attempting to pronounce my name as "A Fat ***" made my love grow for it even more.

Randomised. I saw someone with the same surname once. Ganked him.
He deserved it.

I found some Chinese mythology called "The Four Gods" and I took one of the names and changed one letter.

From Kagasuki to Kagasumi.

The Four Gods:

God of the West - Byakko, The White Tiger

According to the Chinese Annals of Wu and Yueh, three days after the burial of the king, the essence of the element metal assumed the shape of a white tiger and crouched down on the top of the grave. Here the tiger is a protector - a preserver. As we have seen, white jade was used when the Tiger god of the West was worshipped; it is known as 'tiger jade;' a tiger was depicted on the jade symbol. To the Chinese the tiger was the king of all animals and lord of the mountains, and the tiger-jade ornament was specially reserved for commanders of armies. The male tiger was, among other things, the god of war, and in this capacity it not only assisted the armies of the emperors, but fought the demons that threatened the dead in their graves."

The Tiger's seven seishuku 星宿 (constellations) are:

Tokaki Boshi (Chn. = K'uei 奎)
Tatara Boshi (Chn. = Lou 婁)
Ekie Boshi (Chn. = Wei 胃)
Subaru Boshi (Chn. = Mao 昴)
Amefuri Boshi (Chn. = Pi 畢)
Toroki Boshi (Chn. = Tsui 觜)
Kagasuki Boshi (Chn. = Shen 參)

Someone managed to tie my former forum alt to my main (never a good thing), so it was time for a new forum personality.

Mr Epeen seemed an apropos name for the style of posting i had planned for it.

I've had to quit Eve-online several times because I always end up joining a Null-Sec Corp./Alliance and play way too much.
So to promote a happy home life, this time around, I chose a name that I felt would keep me from ever being invited to a corporation that had enemies.

So far it has worked.

I started this char to just try out pvp for a few weeks then aimed to change the name with a new char once I was pleased with PVP.

This of course never happened, the char became my main and now everyone calls me Christine.
