To sum it up GD is an utter array of toxic wasteland vomit. It infects the very soul that is EVE Online. Whatever purpose it was meant to serve as long jump'd the shark. This forum is filled with diseased thought that lack any consructive state of mind, in stead of playing the most detailed and best MMO on the face of the earth trolls and infected pupets plague these forums with their pandamic of death and hate speech to CCP. I am all for open forums with consructive content and real disscussion but for a place that is home for trolls and. Deavents that will stop at nothing to destroy this game because at the end of the day they'd rather see the world burn.

Discuss the end of GD!

No. You are bad poster and should feel bad.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Some other forum would take the place of General Discussion. You can't stop the spice. It must flow.

While a good idea, it wouldn't really accomplish anything. The trolls and trolling would just move to other sections. And Eve-online isn't alone in that respect. Every MMO with a forum has that 'problem'. I have heard Arenanet is imposing a more civil tone on their GW2 boards, but they're an exception it seems.

Besides: forums are supposed to be a festering cesspool of interwebz insults, trolling, QQ'ing, a waste of time and a general killer of brain cells.

Just because people post rubbish here doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.

CCP can't patch stupid.

You picked the wrong forum - F&I is that way.

GD is reserved for trolling...

I agee OP. Unless we're free to chat about OOG stuff here, I don't know what is the purose of GD. Any aspect of Eve already has a dedicated subforum, and I've never seen anything worthwhile discussed here. Also make it so we can post swears.

step 1: require anybody posting on these forums to be in a player corp or actively have skills training on the posting character
step 2: require posts to actually be in English, not in pseudo-English
step 3: allow bounties to be given to characters through EVE Gate after Retribution

forum problems fixed

Not empty quoting.

I'd add though that you must have been in an NPC corp at least 2 months AND have skills training.

Anyone with all their skills maxed out in an NPC corp will be let off Blink

What does it take: 1 mil to make a player corp now-a-days? Kinda weak screening process most anyone trolling on GD could circumvent. Even the TSA could come up with something stronger than that. Blink

ideally, both conditions would have to be met in order to be able to post
