It does sound most fun and I should love to give it a try.

Here's the blog of the miner bumping:
http://www.minerbumping.com/

Earlier this year, one botter streamed his botting live online and CCP came by to bump him across the system:

Ah thank you!

I think I do have an SFI sitting around...

I wholeheartedly approve of bumping both miners and neutral logis on stations.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Xui, let me know and we can go bumping sometime. It's lots of fun even though I'm terrible at it.

I'm terrible too!

Scout: "They're burning back to the gate."
FC: "Go for bumps on that Drake!"
Xuixien: "Roger roger."
FC: "... Xuixien, why are you 50km out?"
Xuixien: "Oh, no wonder I'm missing all my shots!"

We shall improve together.

Ice is only found in 0.7 and below (I believe) so my sexy status shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I've also scouted a few .8 and .9 systems near Rens that are rather populated with mouthy, arrogant minerbears. It would be worth grinding my sexiness to put a hault to their presumptious rock munching in the "safety" of .9.

Hmm, if someone pulled something similiar to this "bumping venture" in real life on me, there would be a fight right out of the box, I might get the worst of it (can't win em all), but i doubt they would want to "bump" me again.

Hopefully when the new killrights rules come out some people can be creative with it and provoke some npc corp members who like to play silly bully games into some real fun.

Now don't get me wrong, if a person if botting, hell yeah, bump em far and often. But if a person wants to sit around and mine a bit in highsec, I don't think they should be required to join someones' silly club. Probablly don't even have a clubhouse.

Well WTF else you got to do when your mining? I dont think its unreasonable to possibly require a miner to actually be activly involved in the mining process....I mean really? So now actually piloting your ship to keep it close enough to the rock you are killing is too much work? Shocked

You won't be able to just "put" a killright on someone.

You can put a bounty on them, but I doubt many miners will cough up the ISK to make it worthwhile to gank an SFI in HiSec, considering most miners would rather be bumped into oblivion than pay a measly 10mil.

Bounties won't affect me all that much. Oh no, my enemies will make money killing me - oh wait, that already happens because Faction Warfare.

The issue is that people don't understand how internet spaceship dancing works. Its a cultural phenomenon that should be maintained - we should not impose our own values onto such a majestic and beautiful thing.

The fluid dance as a frigate rubs against a retriever, showing its affection and passion. Targeting the ship with desire as it repeatedly pushes the ship off course as love does to us all. Sparking a fire in the heart of all as it discharges round after round into the hull of the retriever, penetrating its cargo bay and relinquishing it of its juicy ore.

.... Its beautiful.

It's a sort of PvP. But no shooting included.

In this regard, it is much like marriage.
