What exactly is your point? You don't provide any examples of how the game is sliding into carebear land.

Let's take a somewhat recent addition: Planetary Interaction.

You can do much better at it in null sec, than in high sec. Supplies are better in low than high, and higher than low in null.

How does that pander to carebears? Pilots in null sec can get filthy rich from it in comparison.

You are railing against carebears existing, is the real point you are trying to make. Sorry, but this game is for all types or players. Some go to null sec, and others don't. If you are getting bored down there, you have it within your own power to do something about it. Don't expect someone else's game to be altered to satisfy your own playstyle.

Yeah some of us just love to press (whine) butan ==> receive (miner buffs, ganking nerfs) "bacon".

THIS is getting stupid. REALLY.

FACT: Gankers WON'T kill miners because there's no profit.

AND YET

AND YET

These same MUST.KILL.ALL.MINERS crowd are DONATING billions to BUMPING.

Why don't they just like, buy ships with it???

Discredited as yet another "I KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU POST"..... Come here. BANG!!

There ya go. Feel better?

**** me.

Goonswarm behavior and other Null behavior (proliferation of Titan Blobs) is not Decadent ?

I'm not a bitter old vet and I support this motion.

I wonder what is going to happen when CCP have to start pandering to the console crowd.

Ahh James I was wondering when you were going to post to support one of your alts, I had it pegged at 18 mins and 42 seconds.

Yeah I thought that too for a few minutes. I mean the name 'ForumKings' alone.... very similar to James' babble about being King of High Sec or whatnot...

However he didn't mention a perverse desire to control miner's urine so who knows.

Who do you think mined the ore to build those titans?

Mostly ~enthusiasic~ drone killers that produced the high ends. A decent amount of low-end minerals also came from there. Though undoubtedly the ~enthusiastic~ miners in highsec did their fair share.

And then we compressed it all and shipped it over to make our wonderful supercapital blobs. All hail the supercapital blob !

Still trying to figure out who the carebears are. Are they...

A) Hi-sec peeps that mine with a chance to be ganked or harassed where the gankers have consequences

or

B) Lo/Null-sec peeps that travel in large groups (blobs) killing with no reprecussion

They both whine equally so I am a bit confused.

That was pretty fail comprehension on your part.

The TL;DR version wouls say, simply, you can't make carebears happy; stop trying to.

Fact, "losing" something isn't the real problem a lot of people have, it's losing at all. I've never played a single MMO where people didn't complain about PvP; that inclueds games were you lose NOTHING, and you have to select a server that specifically allows for pvp.

There is a group of people playing EVE, right now, that do not want any other player to have an impact on them. Anyone that thinks otherwise is naive, ignorant, or is one those people.

When a bunch of people start complaining about an activety in the game, whose biggest impact on them is the loss of a cycle of ore, it's pretty obvious those people do not want other players to impact them. There is simply no other reason to complain abut such activities, other than the fact that the last xpac reduced the amount of miner ganking and this is really the only way people have to impact other players without costing them a substantial investment.

You gain nothing bumping, being bumped doesn't really lose you anything. How horrible it is.

One thread on GD page one we have m0o nostalgia and in another we glorify the great bump war of 2012.

Working as intended, CCP?

Oh, sorry Joe501 or whatever your name is. You didn't invent bumping. It's been around since before POS bowling.

I think see your point. It's a shame that PvP in EvE has been reduced to bumping people. I regret not being able to play when the game was good.

A bot can't be a carebear. He's a bot. Roll

What are people called who simply enjoy PvE content at this point? We had carebear, but in this game someone took our word.

PvP will have to be worked on. First of all, highsec needs a serious look over. People are ganking ~profitably~.

It's true that anyone can claim control of anything. Outside of EVE, a government is considered legitimate if it has the enduring ability to send men with guns to kill or imprison other people. Upon this power hangs all the law. There's no need for philosophy here: When a miner is bumped out of mining range, he no longer has the ability to mine--and he does not even get a share of the ore/ice he mined from earlier in the laser's cycle, when he was in range. Therefore, I can stop people from mining whenever I want. Since the miners want to mine ice, and since I alone decide whether or not they can, I command them. It's really that simple.

See, this is good and well, but unlike real life, the borders of EVE are not closed. Players can emigrate. To other games. And the entire system collapses.

Ah, the classic empty 'carebear unsub' threat.
