Oh, look... this thread.

It's a legitimate discussion point. EVE is a game with very advanced social mechanics - it makes sense to try and understand them. A deeper social layout and hierarchy has formed in EVE, it is the goal of the communists to understand this layout and then ignite a revolution.

VFK by July?

If this "revolution" happens it will not be predicted. It will be a spontaneous rejection of the social laws which have dictated the working capsuleers.

Waddle on in.

Chribba - it is very easy to post jokes in a somewhat serious thread. Do you know what it's like for the true miners? Maybe you've given up mining for a career in publicity?

Industry in new eden is already centralized and controlled by a single group, high sec.

It's already communism.

Please stop trying to discredit my compaign of bringing fairness and equallity to all of new eden through the abolishment of the communist grip on industry in high sec by supporting a compaing of introducing communism into high sec.

It will not work. I see through your veiled attempts at swaying people away from the facts.

High sec industry is communism.

So says a pleb proclaiming revenance to a Dear Leader where the state owns and controls everything and he is left with the scraps.

The same state owned entity disclaiming the rights and the abilities of the free spirited capitalists in highsec, independent of control and urging their plebs to feed on the carcasses of the wealthy.

The same plebs who have doppelgangers, within the capitalist quarter, sharing in the wealth, all the while proclaiming the wealth they have must be coming from a state.

The same plebs who conduct raids into the capitalist quarter with funds and rewards provided by the state and claim it is all for the greater good as the plebs keep their own money invested in the capitalist quarter.

Dear Leader is not amused.

Why not try demarchism for the proveldtariat? In all seriousness, demarchism is probably more what you're looking for. Liberty to do as you please (mine), unity to defend your entitled liberty (killing bumpers/gankers).

  • Its not against the EULA
  • You aren't gods
  • This won't work

The two possible scenarios where your idea happen are A) CCP changes the game and removes the market. Game dies. or B) you convince every producer in the game (even those that are part of the evil alliances) to stop using the market. This will fail for one simple reason - greed. You won't convince everyone (or even most). Those who aren't as radical as you will simply see the market opening up more profit potential.

My bad.

I am very aware of many of the issues concerning miners, maybe more than you realize. So to answer your yestion. Yes I know what it is like. As far as giving up on mining, never, and never will. I just don't think we're doing it the same way.

/c

This just in; Chribba suggests mining in a dreadnaught to counter bumping.

Can we get CCP (or rather CONCORD) to do that please? I know they do it for gankers, but bumpers are just as bad. They need to be ... eliminated.

Miners get plenty of respect, Whiney, afk/botters, that can't figure this game out, and instead want the game changed to fit their play style get no respect.

Pardon me, VFK isn't an FA system.

And the only thing broken is the centralization of industry in high sec, a communist economic idealology.

And what skills did you train that gave you the ability to say "HE IS AFK"?

Bots should be reported. Know any?

You don't even need any skills! All you have to do is type it into local and there it is!

As for determining whether or not the miner in question is AFK, that's pretty simple too. All you have to do is say "Hello, [miner name]" in local. If he doesn't respond, then he's not interacting with the local community and can therefore be considered effectively AFK. If you want to be even more thorough, you can simply request a conversation. If he has auto-decline on, he's either a bot or a filthy AFK miner. If he doesn't respond for ages, he's also AFK.

james316 and the miner bumpers are continuing to grief people *snip*
fortunately with empty headed bumbers were blogging about bumping miners i waqs thinking about how to solve the problem

the problem: miners aren't getting the respect we deserve as the producers of all that exists in eve. we are the ship builders, the ammo makers, we are gods.

the solution: end free market

the free market allows griefiers to buy ships and equipment to grief us. i think we need to remove the eve market and only allow direct trade between two players in the same station using the trade window. this will prevent griefers from acquiring our products to use against us.

How will you prevent every single miner from selling to people offering more isk for thier minerals? Because at some point, someone will sell out because everybody has a price.
