Let's see if the forums eat my post this time. Hey, there's a suggestion: Stop the forums from randomly eating posts, kthxbai.

Some of these I know have been suggested before. I'm going to leave out any suggestions for the drone UI because I'm really hoping that CCP is going to pitch it and start from a clean sheet of paper.

* If you try to fit a module that requires Skill IV, and you have Skill III, an error message pops up that says that 'Module requires Skill'. It would be less baffling to newbies if it said 'Module requires Skill trained to IV' (or whatever the prerequisite is). Bonus points if you list all the unsatisfied prerequisites at once.

* Allow non-offensive modules (basically, anything whose activation wouldn't trigger a PVP or NPC flag) in station through the fitting screen, and have the fitting screen update the values it displays accordingly (EHP, range, DPS, etc.). For bonus points, implement the same hover-over popups on modules in the fitting window that you just added to the in-space HUD. That brings you two simple steps closer to an in-game EFT.

* The Repair UI is terrible. Things that are damaged should be clearly indicated as damaged in the fitting window--including drones--and repairing them in facilities with repair shops should be as straightforward as 'right-click->repair' on a module, or 'right-click->repair all' on the ship.

* Fix the silly avatar-dancing-on-stairs bug, not because it's critical to gameplay, but because you drop new players in CQ and tell them to move around, and this does not leave a good first impression. Alternately, just remove the CQ tutorial and drop new players in hangar view until there's a point to entering the CQ. If they press the 'Enter Captain's Quarters' button, then drop the tutorial on them.

* Make default warp distance a per-ship option (even better, able to be saved with a fit). Make it visible to Fleet, Wing and Squad commanders through an interface, and make fleet warp position each ship to the warp-in according to its default warp distance, unless the commander (or pilot) doing the warp overrides it by choosing a particular distance. If the option isn't set, default is 0.

* Allow for client-side groupings of non-identical items. Call them 'piles' or 'groups,' or something other than stacks. This would allow for much tidier sorting of, e.g., salvage, loot and fittings. It would also make every laserboat pilot who shoots through T2 or faction crystals ecstatically happy. Except for the ability to be dragged on to grouped weapons and fitted (which again, could be managed client side), the items would appear to be "stacks" of 1 to the server, and would function that way as far as determining what dropped from a wreck, etc. Have a pop-up that displays the content of the pile available with a delayed mouseover or right click on the pile. Piles should be able to contain stacks, but stacks obviously can't contain piles.

A target priority list for drones. My hobos should not be going after the trigger BS 50km away when there are frigs scramming me.
Make it similar to the inventory filters or something.
Also - I want to name my drones! I'm sick of looking at Hobgoblin 1 through 5. I want to name them things like Gabrielle and Willow.

And make my probes remember any signatures and the signal strength I scanned it to. If I find a wormhole but only scan it to 95% it should still be there at 95% the next time I stop by.

Allow skill injections to be queued - i.e. the Large Artillery Specialization skill can be queued to be injected and trained when Large Projectile Turret V finishes.

Many NPC corps now have only one type of agent. Like all schools only give distribution missions.

I think that should be reshuffled a bit to give all NPC corps a bit of variaty in the kind of work you can do for them.

Can I fit a "Capital" tractor Beam to my carrier. I do Like to rat in my carrier and it would negate the need to bring a scound toon in a noctis. Also Capital Salvager would be awesome too.

What if we were allowed to inject any skill at any time no matter if we meet the prerequisite of it? Then we could put it in the skill queue and if the prerequisite is meet at the time it comes up in the queue, it will train it.

1) Please let us pin down station containers / warehouses that are in a station and unpackaged when opened outside the UNI INV. This way you don't have to re-open them. For example, on entering JITA 4-4, I have to reopen all my containers that I use for trade over and over again.

2) It would be cool to have containers / inventory windows remember if they had a filter set or not, based on the station that you are on. The above mentioned JITA containers have all filters, but after opening them all manually, I have to reset the filter settings on each of them.

3) Please make a remote stacking skill, with a range interval like other remote trade skills; Station, System, 20 jumps, 40 jumps, Region


4) Please make a general setting that makes secure containers to have stuff dropped in on UNLOCKED status by default Done


5) Please make it possible to drop LOCATIONS in the destination field of a COURIER CONTRACT Done

6) Please make it possible to mouse-wheel up / down the # of days in the COURIER CONTRACT wizard duration field, this would make the behavior more consistent with other number fields in EVE.

7) Please show the number of available contracts while you are within the contracts wizard continually.

8) Please make it possible to add a description with double clicking a form field to see its history, just like in web-browsers.

9) Switch the TAB index # within the Courier Contract wizard on the CALCULATE / COLL fields, now you first enter the COLL field and then you can request a EVE estimate on the price of the to be couriered items.

10) Please make the contract wizard remember settings while opened, if I ship something public, but reconsider a few steps in the wizard, you have to re-select the stuff to be shipped.

11) Please make an option to set the contract button blink duration (or just extend the time) on the NEOCOM when entering the game and having new contracts developments, since now it will blink while the complete grid is loading, so you have to manually open the contract overview to check on developments.

12) Please make it possible to renew an expired contract with a 2 click interface, a) renew button, b) "are you sure?" pop up (see also Wyke Mossari, [779])

13) Please make it possible to ship stuff by courier contract from within a container, stuff presorted on destination then does not need a movement to the general items in a station before contracting it.

14) Please FIX the negative display of # of contracts when setting corp contracts vs personal contracts (Ticket created, answered, closed, seems to be on CCP's back-list) ( Done

15) Please show the volume of stuff in an 'Item Exchange' contract. Then I know if I have to bring my freighter or my Iteron V


15) When minimized, keep that state when docking / undocking / jumping / re-logging, etc. Its very annoying to have it pop up each time. Removed


16) Please add a regional filter setting within the orders overview tab

17a) Please add a general setting that allows to have a CANCEL option within the right click menu of the orders displayed in blue in the market overview tab. Done

17b) Or add a function in the right menu of your own order in the market overview tab that says "go to order" and auto-focus on the order in question in the orders overview tab, so you can CANCEL it on that location. Done

18) Please add a replenish option to orders. So orders can be supplied with extra stock when they start to deplete. Maybe add a skill to get this done, with a Station, System, 20 jumps, 40 jumps, Region upgrade like other trade skills.

19) Make it possible to PAGE UP and DOWN in the orders overview tab. Done

20) Please add a tool-tip that tells you can use keyboard input to locate items / locations in the orders overview tab.

21) Please add a shift click function in the orders overview to select more as 1 order, so you can cancel several of them at the same time.

People and Places

22) Make it possible to filter added characters within PEOPLE with a NO-LABEL category, now you have to search the ALL menu for people you just met and added.

23) Make it possible to PIN a locations folder to the NEOCOM bar or let it opened on relogging.


24) Make it possible to set a threshold for wallet blink


25) Please fix the blink on claiming a certificate ;). Done

Non-Emtpy Contaiers

26) When creating a contract, with non-empty containers, please make the YES button SHIFT clickable, so that if you ad 1 NON empty container, you can agree to add them ALL

27) please make a filter setting that FILTERS non-empty containers, so I wont include any by accident. (and the negative of that, the empty containers, so you can destruct all containers no longer in use.)


Support a lot of ideas of others. (See likes), but this one(s) I would like to double;

30) Detachable Eve windows to allow greater control over our available screen real-estate. (Apricot Baby [1070])

31) Allow us to repackage stuff that's in a container. (Eamon Tauros [1027], Samantha Utama [762])

32) Add some hollow astroits, when belt is empty (Takseen [993])

33) The ability to right-click a courier package and being able to chose 'Set destination' to the destination for delivery. (Pohbis [967]) Done

34) More personal contracts / corporation contracts due to EVE growth (Whitehound [978])

Multi-split. Right Click, split stack - but while holding shift or something and doing it, you get a dialogue box asking how many stacks of what quantity.

So 50 stacks of 25 lets say.

remove all cloaks minus covert ops.

imo cloaking should be only for covert ops and black ops based ships not everything in the game.

UI Suggestions

  • Give us more options to customize the layout, position, and rows/columns of the targets list. Right now if you have multiple monitors finding a satisfactory placement for this is rather difficult.

  • Multiple Monitors Specifics

  • In space, give us the option to have a "notes section" or something of the sort where we can place chat windows and other UI elements without having the background of space behind them. Most people leave a "hole" in their UI windows to view their ship anyway, this just builds that in without messing with zooming so much. Right now if you want to view the battlefield on dual monitors you're likely zooming out to the point where everything is dots so it will fit into that little "viewing space". This also would fix my next suggestion regarding walking in stations!

  • Allow us to offset the camera by more than a few inches when walking in stations, right now if you have two monitors you end up with your character split down the center and half covered by UI elements. Either letting us sub divide our screen into a "view" area and a "UI" area (not that you can't have UI in the view area just that you don't have anything animated or important as background in the UI area) or let us shift our view more than a few inches so that our characters aren't split in half.

  • [*] Possibly infeasible but I figured I'd suggest it anyway, allow for some kind of in-line search of the HUD such as player name, ship type, ect. This would make responding to target calls in broadcast heavy battles much easier, every time I've gotten on the test server for a mass-test any attempt at broadcasting targets gets lost in a mess of spam and sometimes I find the target in my HUD about the time it blows up.

    Allow market items to be added to the quick bar from the orders tab. Right now you can only do it while browsing the market.

    You know what would really rock, yet I don't know if this is a little thing or a big thing, it would be great to have a chat tool for PC and mobiles like Yahoo or Instant Messenger that connects to the game so even when you are not logged in, you can still be "there" in the various channels. I can see there's a need for people to keep in touch with corpmates when on the go, and other such matters.
    I can see that the need for this commo (and especially the handshake/login) to be secure and that is overhead.
