This isn't a joke, please keep the trolling to a minimum and have a little respect for a fellow human being.

I have an unnamed nervous system disorder. My nerves are in a perpetual state of hyper activitey (imagine a hiccup in your right arm, that slowly spreads to the rest of your body and will never go away). One of the things, of many, that it's doing to me is making fine motor control very difficult.

IN OTHER WORDS I TYPE MUCH SLOWER THAN I USED TO. I also make a considerable amount of mistakes as I don't really have complete control of where my fingers go. I also have some trouble with putting the mouse pointer where I want it. Not to mention the pain.

I'm tired of hitting "post", and having to reformat EVERY FRIGGING TIME I HIT POST, because instead of posting it pulls the saved post and requires me to fix it so it's not a wall text. This happens every single time I try to post something that's more than a sentence long.

Please fix this CCP. It's making posting on the forums a living hell for me.

Shouldn't have to, but yeah that would be a solution. (Never though to do this, thanks)

CCP still needs to fix it so it doesn't do this. It didn't used to do this, I don't understand why it's doing it now. Either I got much slower at typing or it seems to have actually gotten progressively worse.

If I hit "post" it should post, nothing else.

If you are using Firefox, there are several addons that let you cache your typed text (not sure about the format, though).

But I am much more concerned about that neurological disease.
Unnamed diseases happen to be very rare, often the physicians just couldn't find the right diagnosis.
If your doctor says it's an unnamed rare disease, maybe it might be smarter to go for a second opinion...some of the progressive neurological syndroms could get quite severe over time..

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Do what the rest of us do and copy and paste it.

Even without a disorder of the nervous system its a huge pain.

Good luck with your body and i hope that it is not progressive

Beside from sounding horrible, that is what I think. When did you begin to develop these symptoms?

I don't know what part of the world you are in, but if you are covered by some kind of NHS, I'd have that checked out and don't settle for just one diagnosis.

Good luck, my man.

Whether you have a condition like this or not, it is simply a problem that we shouldn't have to put with.

I feel your pain, brother.

I have three specialists (Optometrist, neurologist, neuropothist). They have all been scratching their heads in confusion for the last three years trying to figure out why I'm like I am. Why it's getting worse. And why they can't fix it.

I won't go into details but my quality of life is in the shitter. I can think just fine, but getting it out in a post can be frustrating at best. Thus why you see most of my posting has been edited.

This forum is not conducive to easy posting and needs a fair bit of work. It's a whole lot better than it used to be but will never win any awards for efficiency.

It's been 2 years. There's no way to find out what's happening that doesn't involve removing my brain, or genetic testing that doesn't exist currently.

It's cool, I'm enjoying life, and will continue for as long as I'm alive.

I just want the forum to post what I write when I hit post.

If anyone is really interested in what's happening or learning about how horribly little doctors actually know about the nervous system, feel free to write me. I only mention it in the thread because it makes posting here just a tad more difficult than it would normally.

Please, join me in telling CCP to fix the damn forum.

Tomorrow, I will lose all internet connection for maybe one or two weeks.
But after that, I will contact you in game if that's OK for you.

Does anybody even know what CMS (if any) CCP is using to power these forums? It looks like a heavily customized version of vBulletin or maybe ipBOARD - but if its custom-built, then I can imagine they'd be so better off if they worked with an already established forum system.

Not a problem at all. I just don't want the thread to be about something not related to the game, and I only mentin my problems because the post button doesn't really help any.

What about for those of us who aren't as tech savvy. I feel like I should just be able to hit the [ENTER] button and be able to post away to my hearts content. This is just ridiculous.

Sorry to hear that man. Google Chrome has a built in spell checker. It's pretty robust too. I suggest using it to help ya out.

As for your symptoms, I'm with the above posters. See a few more specialists if ya can. It would help to get a few more people looking at you.

Good luck, fly safe, and fly true o7

Hi,

I'll raise this up the chain as it were but can you clarify what's going on ?

Are you saying that when you click post instead of posting it reloads with the saved draft ?

When it does this, approximately how long does it take you write the post?

What browser are you using ?

Thanks.

Line two is exactly what happens.

I've never timed it, but it would seem that anything approaching a minute causes it to happen. I'm not entirely sure exactly how long it's taking me to post everything anymore. I can say that short posts, only a few lines or so don't seem to be effected, longer posts (which I admit I tend to make a lot more of) are when it happens.

The draft reload would be fine, but it doesn't save the format, only what was typed; so you end up with a giant wall of text that you have to go back into and fix all of your new paragraphs; that includes whatever you quoted.

Kind of defeats the point of the forum saving what you write though.

But yes, I should start doing this from now on when I make a longer post. At least until they get it corrected.
