Because it is typically my online handle and CCP won't let me exchange it for a real name.

"Zoten" is a name i've been using in games, both on forum based roleplays and various games since I could participate in them.
"Dragosia" is a variation of the last name I assigned to the character which is typically "Dragonis."

I have another character on here "Ryan Ondore" his name comes from the main character of a novel I'm writing.

5 self given requirement:

1.) My characters should have "natural sounding" names, names that could very likely also exist in real live.
2.) It should sound somehow "tough".
3.) The name should not trigger any negative associations.
4.) The name should be "unique".
5.) I must feel comfortable with that name being called for example on Teamspeak.

Therefore i got through some names for men, and created a surname slightly similar to a surname from an acquaintance of mine.

After i found a suitable combination, i "googled" it for any hits, which could interfere with requirement 3 and 4. Since i found nothing with great importance to me, i found my characters name.

Surely going by your points, there was only one name that should have been picked?

.... "Walker" or more commonly known- "Walker- Texas Ranger" Walker was a martial arts expert, he battled crime in the Texas area, I think he easily meets points 1-5 surely?
Imagine being on Team speak: "Walker, we have bandits trying to gank in Amarr, Ok, 10-4, I'm on my way."

I played CoD. A lot. I could genuinely call myself "noob killer" and not feel ashamed.
Well, maybe just a little bit ashamed.

I change my name in FPS games all the time so i dont get people trying to rope me into clans or tieing my name down to the way i fight.

Anyhoo around this time there were people that were still using numbers in names as though this was the height of cool

Its still around (but without the "I AM ELITE!!" sentiment) cause ultimately some **** always takes the name you want and a number is as good as a letter right?....

...right!

So my next incarnation was to be called "N00b killer." - mostly as another way to take the **** out of people that thought they were gods because they spelt their name with a number. Still no shame. sue me!
The next change after that I MADE IT BACKWARDS! Im so smart P - "Rellik b00n."

About this time I got really bored of FPS games and one new years eve I was up very late, and very drunk, and I found a game called eve online.

Lacking imagination as I do i just picked a name I was already using.

I could have had a name of majesty, desire, greatness or coolness, but no..

I got n00b killer spelled backwards Big smile

I used to play the online game Star Wars Combine and I needed a name for that that sounded like it was from the Star Wars universe, so this is what I came up with. When I started playing Eve I simply re-used the same name. It has no deep meaning.

Needed a sci-fi sounding name when I switched from City of Heroes. Badgerlad didn't seem to fit (even if I didn't know about the Industrial yet)... So I ran my real name through an English to Klingon translator and got rid of all the extra punctuation.

Wow, not as cool a story as I thought, bro.

I liked the sound of it when i created my jerkish looking character, I had the intent to play eventually as a mean person of some sort and Knot'Kul Sun reads and sounds barbaric and pirate-like. The other half why i picked this is because its basically 'not cool son' with diff letters.

I still get people who have known me for quite awhile all of a sudden go like 'ooooooh, not COOL son, i get it.'

I have a tendancy to do things in a way other players say can't be done, or shouldn't be done, and not only making it work but doing very well with it.

Back in the days of E&B, I wanted to make a Jenquai Explorer (short range, fragile, cloaky scout/support class) that used a combination of the rare long range beams and the rare beam extenders to become a pretty nasty sniper. My friends said that 1st of all, I wouldn't be able to do it, and if I did it wouldn't work the way I thought it would.

I created VaMei, leveled him up, got the gear, and low and behold... The Terran Warriors (long range missle combat class) were complaining that I had too much range and damage. I've kept the name ever since.

That VaMei was named after typhoon Vamei; a tropical storm that formed only 1.5 degrees from the equator (where it was previously considered impossible) and developed into a storm that generated winds of up to 140Km/Hr.
