Yeah its just you want mining balanced but you only share the overpowered point of view really.

I mean I tried before the buff came out to talk to miners with a thread, but only pvpers showed up to talk about mining. Kind of shows how hard it is to a good mining buff, if only one miner is there then like 50 pvpers.

I don't know how the goons rate the mining buff, or what they wanted from it. I mostly know pvpers perspective. Like I said only they showed up and talked in the thread. They mostly wanted us to pvp instead of mine, which is wierd, since I wanted to mine. The fit more tank on a barge is fine, but that only is enjoyable if you want to pvp mostly. (from my persective) Of course I can not fit a tank and they will gank you, and with that being a bit annoying, have to find mining ways to deal with it.

But anyhow with you wanting risk vs. reward and how that goes towards mining not too sure. Also suppose at least one branch of the goons would also have that point of view. I suppose you would hate the mack, since it offers mostly everything at no real drawback the other two mining ships suffer from.

Of course as a miner, I actually like the mack, since it helps solve a logistical issue I have had with mining. Though I think not all miners really care about logistics, so might not mind a mack nerf. It would be kind of hard for me, but I would probably train for orca, but would lose some yeild though I think. Of course I dual box, which might defeat the mining buff, which could be orientated to only having one account, which would make it harder to nerf the mack. That would mean players would have to have more accounts. CCP does like having players have more accounts, but not really sure if they add that to designing ships with making players have two accounts. Seems mostly built on solo work. or team work perhaps. (That could be fluff though)

Anyhow, back to risk vs reward. Goons only attack ice, and of the ice they attack it is only gallente, Which is used for important tasks and POSs. So the reward for mining gallente is Ice is actually kind of high in a way. Of course some people will say ice is low isk so not much reward, then lots of risk for no reward with goon ganking them. But in the meta game I suppose, there is reward for mining gallente ice.

In a way I really don't mind the ice ganks and perhaps think they are fair as well. The thing I don't like about ice, is that there is so few ice fields and everyone knows where they are. So you are a likely target. So for ice mining I might fit a tank knowing that. But in roid belts, not gonna very likely put one on.

I like this guy.

Working as intended.

Confirming it takes less than 4 catalysts to gank literally ANY exhumer.

Goons expoited, FW, got the new war dec rules changed to help them. Able to get the most tech moons.

Is it so hard to believe they could exploit past the new mining buffs? You really shouldn't be so overly dramatic every time the goons find a way to break the game. You will grow old way to fast that way.

Just a few points you seem unclear about:

-Only a handful of Goons (12 IIRC) used market manipulation to gain a ******** amount of LP, this wasn't an exploit and really falls into the ball park of CCP not fully visualizing the Inferno FW Changes.

-Faction Warfare, and the ISK gained there from have no impact on the amount of Tech Moons we hold, or were able to take in the past few months.

-Confirming that targeting an ice mining exhumer and pushing F1 and F2 causes magic to happen. However, that magic isn't an exploit.

^ I never said exploitation is bad. I usually support oil companies going to poor african countries. It can be rough, but never bad.

But anyhow you guys did it. Was just showing that large things are possible, or goons did stuff rather then game mechanics doing things. While poetic focuses on game mechanics and getting CSM to change them. Which is hard to do, with goons doing large things for a better word then exploitation.
