May i suggest you make the header a little more distinguishable to the rest of the site, when that intro banner is gone on other pages it can get a little confusing for the in-experienced eye.

As a web developer my self i love the minalism.

BTW did you get the design idea for your intro banner from windows metro lulz! http://evenews24.com/

As a web developer it seems you have not yet mastered how to direct your comments to the appropriate party.
