Could you file a bug report with as much info as you can provide, logserver log would be very helpful in this case.

Thanks

Please try the generic patch, it acts as a repair tool in cases where the client has been modified:
http://content.eveonline.com//mac/evepremiumpatch304168-mac.tgz

Normal patches do not handle these edge cases since it is more efficient to build them directly from a known good version to the new one. Generic patches take longer to run and download more data than would be necessary for a direct patch.

CCP is in cahoots with your power company. More GPU load means more power consumption.

When will you fix that annoying bug with position with overview ... this is very ridiculous that you have two test servers and still can deploy stupid bugs and we must wait ages for fix.

We are working on a fix for the overview issue which we are aiming to get out in the coming days. In the meantime there are workarounds outlined in this thread that have worked for some people. And believe me, we're just as frustrated as you are that we didn't catch this in testing. I know it's hard to believe when you see it happen every time you dock or undock, but it's the nature of these things that sometimes they only manifest under conditions that don't occur in our test environment..

Is this the sort of thing you'll have a client patch for tomorrow, or is this one gonna linger around for another couple expansions? Cause this is affecting a lot of people and is basically game-breaking.

We are treating this as a high priority issue. And to address the QA question, unfortunately it's one of those issues that only happen under certain circumstances (the details of which we haven't determined yet but part of it is the timing of sequence of events) which didn't occur in our test environment. I know it's hard to believe when you see it happen every time, these are really the most annoying bugs.

While we all understand no software is ever going to be perfect, these windows/overview bugs seem to happen EVERY SINGLE TIME a major patch is released. And they hardly ever get fixed to full satisfaction. It has gotten to a point that windows jumping all over the place, not remembering their size and issues like that are not even bugs anymore but just normal client behavior for me, until I realize just how ******** that really is....

Im sure this has been mentioned but

Since the new 1.1.2 my windows will not remain pinned in the correct location. I run on dual monitors and now it seems when i go between space, ship spin mode and CQ mode my windows jump around the place and unsize themselves after being pinned in specific places. This was not an issue with 1.1.1

Also why in ship spin mode is there no ambient background noise ? in CQ mode when you walk up to the platform you hear all the background noise but ship spin is totally dead silent.

I have already posted that I have 3 accounts and on 1 of the 3, ship spinning is not working.

I have noticed that on the same account that is not spinning ships, it is also not loading any player pictures.

Also when I try to spin the ship on the defective account, I have noticed when I left click to start the spin, the cursor changes to the "movement" cursor as expected, but when I move the mouse in any direction the cursor reverts back to the "normal" cursor. It is as if the ship spin is being immediately canceled when the mouse is moved.

I still can't download client update, same as Jokath, on any clients.
Sent bug report yesterday with log server log.

I'm using same operating system, Windows XP 64 bit, if that helps

Would really love to play someday soon.

Could you try resetting the window positions to default in the ESC menu, Reset Settings, and see if that helps with the overview/station services moving around when docking/undocking?
Not a guaranteed fix, but this seems to do it for a lot of players.

Noticed this on my Mac client. I tried resetting the default window positions in the ESC menu and it did seem to keep my Overview and selected item window positioned correctly. But upon docking my Station Services window was slid down a bit. And as the station environment was loading I noticed that the Selected Item window as still on screen as the Station services window loaded positioned exactly below where the Selected item window was.

This was true of the Overview and Selected Item windows when undocking as well, however the window position reset fixed the problem during the undock. The problem still remains for the Station services window, however.

Had the same problem and after thinking about that for like 30 seconds i figured out what is maybe a temp solution for this game breaking issue and the thing is that the client apparently resizes overview and station services windows trying to fit em both on screen as if they where in the same lets call it "sesion"...and that shouldnt happen because when you are docked overview window is off and vice versa...so...about my temp solution...move the station services window to the top left of the screen (assuming you dont use any other window on that position) so the client dosnt try to resize anything because windows are on different corners of the screen...at least this worked for me and i can live for a few days with the station services window in an anoying position...

Okay this solution actually works for me. Smart thinking Nyler. Your suggestion that its a conflict with those windows sounds quite reasonable.

It is of course completely sucks that I have to play EVE this way.

CCP How about this for a fix in the future. When I check lock pinned windows and I pin a window how about having them NOT MOVE. This issue with random moving windows comes up again and again, year after year. Shows that there is a fundamental flaw in the way you guys treat windows.
