You no longer need to wait. If you click on your LP after routing P0 from ECU to LP and select routes (3 arrows icon) you will see something like P0 3000 incoming. You can select this entry and then create route to your factory even though you have no P0 in storage.

I find this particularly useful for factory planets and I can have everything routed prior to the completion of the first cycle.

I've been doing this for awhile now and occasionally have been having a weird problem where everything looks routed, but no final P2 products are produced. I think its because I'm routing the same "input" to multiple factories. Not really sure. Actually just deleted all my input routes on some problem planets and allowing things to accumulate for re-routing. I did notice on the planets that I had problems with (maybe about 1 in 4), that I would see multiple input routes for the same item. Like 2 electrolytes and 1 water. Only having the problem with the output of Advanced Factories, and then only occasionally.

Just a heads-up.

great guide. I set up my first PI colony last night whilst checking several other guides on the 'net. Set up my extractor and one head, started the program, did the links & routes from extractor to CC, to factory, to LP.

Then went back to add more heads and couldn't work out why I couldn't add any more, even though my CC was L4 - though it was getting late and I was desperate for my bed. I didn't think about stopping and restarting the program /d'oh - I'll get that sorted tonight

This is the best PI guide, covering the aspects of PI that really matter. I set up my first colony yesterday having read through all the CCP material. Although the 'official' stuff gave me everything I needed to get going, this guide has given me answers to all the issues that invariably crop up once you have set a colony up.

I'm now up & running with a nicely efficient setup - many thanks Big smile
