Bloodline recreation?

I recently returned to Eve this last July, and I'm curious if there's a way to change my bloodline? I know there's a way to rescuplt my character, but is there a way to change bloodline? name?

I don't necessarily want to change from gallente to amarr or something, just maybe from intaki to jin mei or something.

Also, I saw something at a previous fanfest of the ability to combine bloodlines. How do I do that? If that's not available now, will that be something we can trade a PLEX to do in the future?

Sorry if there's a better forum for this. I didn't really know where else I could put this.

You can't betray your race quite yet, I'm sure CCP will make it possible someday.

I would have liked a full character reset. when they did the Resculpt thing. But i'm afraid we were just stuck with prettying up our characters

I did see at fanfest (maybe in March/maybe last year) that there was going to be mixed bloodlines. Has CCP said anything further about this? Typically, they're very forthcoming with game iterations. It's quite nice actually, compared with other companies representatives that just tote the company line over and over.

LIES !!!

Edit : Ok, constructive answer.

Many of us have choosen our race/bloodline long before Incarna. Why should we be restricted in the choice of our clothes / tattoes / else because of something that we couldn't anticipate when we had the choice ?

Well, I think this is especially so consider that CCP sanctions Eve character sales. You shouldn't be stuck with someone else's bloodline/sex they chose!

I think this should go for names, too. Let people pick another race/bloodline/sex/name, etc. when a character transfer is performed, or maybe have it cost an additional PLEX or two, but the choice should be there.

The issue with names and bad reputations is simple: the system just updates various contact lists with the new name, and there could simply be a "Naming History" just like there's an "Employment History."

I mean, this is the future--I can't understand why when you wake up in a new clone body, it can't just be any old clone you want.

Besides, I think Pend can update their records when you lose a ship to give you so-and-so's noobship instead of your old one... :)

I'm affraid but I wasn't talking about the name or the sex.

It is true that the change at Incarna have given another dimention to the choice of our race / bloodline, but about name or sex you have no excuse : The meaning of a name hasn't changed, as well as the fact that female charaters wears female clothes.

I think instead of your suggestion, we should just submit a photo to CCP, and they will create our character to look like our real selves, and then our character name would be our real name. :) That way people wouldn't act like morons all the time!

You chose to buy the character. If you don't like the name/race/etc, don't buy the character.

I do still want the proposed noobship button. (CCP Fozzie mentioned that he thought a Pres Butan > Receive Noobship system would be nifty.)

Right now there is the option to resculpt, however changing your race and/or bloodline is not permitted.

Wishful thinking. Many MMO's have photobooks of members and it never stopped them from being themselves.

Sinse they removed any effect of bloodlines on your character from the game, I thought it was really just for RP purposes. Every race seems to have a lower, middle, and upperclass structure for you to choose from, and a slight variation in appearance based on that.

If you're an RPer, why would you want to change your bloodline?

If you're not an RPer, why would care about your bloodline?

No one should ever be able to change their name, not even on purchased characters.

I remember way back in the day there was a dude in a chat channel who couldn't stand his name. We came up with a plan that I would petition it for being offensive in Phillipino and then CCP would force him to change it. After much hilarity the CCP GM handling the case apparantly checked their logs and found our chat convo about the deal. He was not amused.

C'mon, we know CCP have this **** to make everything changable, race blending, tatoos etc. I saw what you did there with Incarna CCP. When will you stop throwing our money into stuff, and not releasing it. What?

Do I get a free mount with that Spacepanda?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
