Hello

A few recent replies, the "view" on the forums is not simply my own, a simple research into the forum posts with key words using eve search will relay that it is a multitude of eve players including many who have replied here, that all agree on one solid point.

The EvE online forums are a cess pit of trolling and rubbish and players posting in threads they have no interest i simply to pick a fight or to troll it simply because "they can".

I can assure you, i would not be so egotistical to demand the forums change to suit my owns, that would be utterly selfish and reprehensible behavior.

I have never bothered with these forums, i have always used other sources, same as i do in wow/dayz etc. most *official* forums are very boring and negative. Of which, if i may, you are quite grandly proving my point.

Since u r posting with an alt ... you prove your cowardness... i've no prob to show my main ^^, but my friend, game forums make the game, forums in MMo have a great impact on the real game. ( this characther is biomassed tried my best to do an ugly avy but 's not my kind of things, brb)

It's a phenomenon that a forum mostly reflects the negative aspects of a game or whatever. It provides a weird distorted image of the real community because a high percentage of topics are hateposts, demands, complaints, rants in which people claim to represent a majority by using "many players" instead of "I" or "me".

Some complaints never disappear due to new players who do not understand the way EvE works or just want to change the game to their needs and desires even at the risk that the game loses a central aspect. Best example is "eve is dying" "afk cloaking", nerf blobbing" etc.

So, if you enter the forum, you should realize that only a micropart of "the community" acts here and most of the thread starters don't wanna provide insights or constructive critics but want to change the game from an individual point of view without having a bigger picture.

I would wish that this was true, i had always heard rumors of how bad the forums appeared to be but never looked into it. I spent 4 days on a whim looking across forums for other games. I was never a forum warrior, i prefer to play rather than talk. But, that being said, this forum was the worst, out of WOW/EQII/AION etc by a very long shot

The forums represent the game. I think some people forget that



Actually i think you are the one who is mistaken here.These forums actually quit well describe how the game is , in fact if it would be much nicer then people would come to a game they'd think would be a tea party and find themselves served for lunch.


I'm a 2004 player so we don't much differ there.I've done it all and seen it all and spend 15 minutes daily on the forums just checking crap while i drink my coffee when i kicked the kids to bed and shoved the ipad under my wifes nose.Though i disagree with a WHOLE bunch of people and dislike they way they ''out themselves'' towards others a lot of the times i would not want this forum to be different then what it is.


You'll be stabbed in the back , tricked , looted and smacktalked ingame so what's so wrong about getting a good trolling on the forums to top it off with?If only CAOD became it's old self again that would be awsome but we'll have to wait for the blueball to fall off his horse for that one i'm afraid.
