Another Bounty Question

I was just thinking about the new bounty system. This made me think up a question.

My theory is that a lot of people run around high sec with expensive implants in their brains. Do you think it would be profitable with the new bounty system to just randomly pop shuttles and the pods of characters with high bounties? Good chance there could be expensive implants and a juicy payout. Do you think this will decrease the use of shuttles?

Anyway, just something to think about. Thank you for your replies :-)

I doubt it. You can't scan a pod or shuttle to see if its worth it, although I guess you could shoot it with very cheap ships to get the benefit. But you'll also get a 30 day killrights.

To be honest, because Bounties work on pod losses at the moment, there is more incentive to pop pods with bounties on flying through highsec now than there will be.

Probably not. It can be rather hard to pod someone that isn't afk in highsec.

You're forgetting the wonderful number of stupid people who are AFK podding around HS.

Now that Bounties will be applicable to bears (who, often as not, have no idea how the mechanics of the game they play work), I imagine there will be some number of high bountied, implanted pods AFKing around HS. Finding them is, as always, the trick (Jita 4-4 smells like a decent spot).

Well can also jump clone to cheap clone, then fly around teasing everyone for a terrible kill.

Right, some people seem to think the forums are true. I guess they think that other people cannot read the same articles and forums they do.
