MacBook Pro (early 2008)
OS 10.8.2
2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo
4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM

The problem is after the "Play" button is clicked and the game tries to load. I get the message "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x14bdfff0 at address 0x97bc38bb", and am given the choice to debug. If I do or don't, the program closes and nothing is accomplished. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. I've also trashed and redownloaded the client again with the same results.

Going on two weeks, a bug report, several re-downloads, and a reset of the router/modem along with the new patch and nothing is continuing to work. Glad to see that the individual is so highly prized in the eyes of the powers-that-be.

Had same problem after a crash due to server connection being lost. After some playing around with different client installs I removed both my preferences and my application settings folder and everything came back so something got corrupted.

/Library/Application/Support/Eve Online
/Library/Preferences/Eve Online Preferences

restored bookmarks etc after i got it launching again

This is a problem that never existed and it will never be confirmed by CCP bad developers.

Quoting one of the so called "Support" members for the petition that i opened few days ago:

Quote:

Hello, thank you for contacting customer support.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your petition.

We can see from you connection logs that you have managed to connect to the server since filing this petition. Hopefully this means that you have managed to resolve the issue. If this is not the case and you still require assistance then please update this petition.

So... if their customer opens a petition for not be able to log into the game he is paying and after 2 days with NO REPLY the stupid customer (ME) decides to apply the good temporary solution that a fellow customer (Looking For Corp) placed here, then the problem really doesn't exist.

As i replied to this "GM":

Quote:
This support is really pathetic...

"Since you logged then its ok..."

Have you consider the possibility that i'm connecting using a different computer?? Beside that, yes, i managed to make my Mac working but i have to delete the EVE directory on Application Support every time i want to login and making me lose ALL my saved ingame settings.

Solutions? There are others complaining on the same situation on the forums. Are you preparing to say that this problem "doesn't exist" as CCP says there no "lag" in eve?

Seriously CCP, if this is the support you are giving to the ones that put food on your table... then you better consider your support strategy as its failing like crap. :/

The solution to clear that directory solves it but at least in my case it happens again after few logins...

I've tried Looking For Corp's workaround, but the problem is that I don't have anything Eve-related in those folders. So it, sadly, doesn't work for me. I still get the same page issue as stated above, and am paying for something that doesn't work. I guess the only thing for me to do now is to challenge my last payment, cancel my account, and say farewell to Eve thanks entirely to a lack of support from staff.

At this point, to say that they have a strategy is an insult to strategies everywhere.
