Observe in the upper left corner, that bit of brown is SpaceMonkey's Alliance.


You can't tell it now, but before we started burning down NC., SMA held off a pretty strong siege effort while, uh I think it was when we were fighting in Tenal. Rather determined SBUing and dropping of staging towers by the enemy.

coalitions fight other coalitions, currently CFC ( goonswarm + allies) took tribute from NC.
HBC ( test, PL, and other bros) took most of Catch from AAA and red overlord

Gypsy band and allies have made a new coalition an they are fighting Solarfleet + their allies atm as well.... so there you have it 3+ major null wars in action.

The names and faces my change but the coalition keeps evolving and refining itself.

What are you talking about? There are plenty of targets to shoot at. Of course there are less now that -A- can't even undock anymore because of TEST, but still...

Most coalitions fight apart from the CFC they like to bore there enemies to death works pretty well aswell, they also tend to prefer shooting structures as opposed to shooting other people.

But yeh every other coalition seems to love to pvp with other people and are generally pvping all the time HBC -A- etc. Even the Solar coalition always loves to put up one hell of a fight

Well that's my concern....it seems pretty soon everyone will be buddies, holding hands, skipping around in duos around 0.0...can't be good for anything....PVP, Business (no one really needs to buy things anymore as not many are being blown up), etc.

Perhaps this is a CCP issue? Perhaps they should add more incentives to having as much sov as possible?

Dear newbie, you see the funny thing is.. Highsec gets better and better, nullsec is at best mostly ignored or actively nerfed.

Soon enough we'll all be in highsec as CONCORD forces us to hold hands and not push one another while mining asteroids.

Well the bumping thing I don't agree with. I think the better idea is to add more risk to the higher end ores/gases/etc. Put them in dangerous territory. MIners can't complain about that; just spend some of that money investing in protection. The bumping is just a temp "fix" to AFKing and to me is griefing.


If what you say is true then thats sad. SO much potential wasted. Null could be such a fun filled wild west place. Thats what I thought it was anyway.

No, they can. For sure any attempt to move things out of highsec will be met with a wave of fury that only a bunch of afking, never-shoot-me-please chaps can bring to bear.

Earlier it was ganking. Now they get buff, oh now it's bumping. Earlier they said ganking was griefing too, now it's the bumping. After that what will it be, the imagination can run wild.

Oh yeah, they complained about canflipping too, because they couldn't shoot canflippers due to ~no guns~. That's "fixed" too, now anyone can attack a canflipper. Not that there'll be likely to be many people in a belt in highsec with a pvp ship anyway but maybe if you had 15 miners their drones would waste someone.

Null isn't JUST about PvP, not anymore than high sec is JUST about PvE.

Also, the people that run the "blobs" understand that without pvp people will get bored in null, so they tend have rules of engagement to ensure that when there is no large war to take part in, that people have other people to shoot at without destroying the diplomatic landscape.

The "blob" is trying to build a better Europe, not foster a worsening Middle East.

NPC Null is the Wild West. Sov Null is Romance of the Three Kingdoms.


As far as suggestions of who to join, Waffles is a lot of fun. But do not join if you feel entitled to people being nice to you. We won't be (though very few people are actually blindly and randomly abusive). But if you're active, you will almost certainly improve from being useless to being terrible at EVE (a lofty goal that everyone should aspire to).
