Now I don't see how this works however I wanted to ask about it

If I am in a fleet with a mission runner will I get increased security standings?

I seem to have gone from -0.2 to 0.2 without doing anything, could this be what's happened?

I have an alt that just follows two DPS ships around in a noctis and after a year her sec status hadn't budged a bit. I'm pretty certain you don't get security status for just being in a fleet or doing non-combat stuff.

Are you sure you didn't shoot any rats while you were fleeted? Or have drones assist somebody else who did?

You should be able to find the individual gains on your char sheet. Unfortanutely, I'm not very familiar with the exact workings of sec status, so that's about all the help I can provide.
