Can anyone tell me why the price of robotics has gone through the roof?? I just went to place my quarterly order and it seems they have close to double / trippled since last i purchased.. Is this another GOON related matter?

*sigh

seems like ernriched uranium, and mechanical parts are also now spiking crazily.. and the price of robotics has just gone through the roof. I tried to get the buy orders but in the end had to buy at market costs because my order was instantly outbid by0.01 isk..(so frustrating)..

Seriously though **** the goons... so sick of thier **** with the isotopes and now this... and it seems clear that as soon as destructable pi goes live they will whore that too..

You're an idiot, goons didn't do this.

Market speculators did this, buying up stockpiles of PI with the assumption prices will spike when low and nullsec custom offices disappear for a while.

Its spiked right across the board, all the advanced products have been bought up too

Given enough time prices will level off.

It a live market with outside influences such as the latest devblog, as soon as that was published marketeers dived on their orders. Its a normal market activity. If possible hold off on your purchases for a little while and let the market settle.

In regards to the prince of PI it will largely depend how easy it will be to destroy the customs offices.

Also how many null / low sec alliances will bother putting up custom offices to begin with.

I mean if it is fairly easy to destroy them then I expect a lot of hit and runs on them, especially in low sec.

hmm seems like u guys are right there are a few threads on this.. well even having paid current market rates at least i wont need to endure the price spike leading into and upto next patch..

I was in a moment of distress at the prices but i guess if they are going up due to the dev blog and new game changes then I can price into my pos production and be on even keel with other industrial types.

With the proposed mechanics, there is no such thing as a hit and run. 24+h RF timer means in order to do anything that'll effect PI, you will have to commit to a 'hit' lasting for a day or more. Also, CCP has said many times that while the office is in RF, it'll continue to function.

So really, the only change is taxes and cost of doing PI. Someone would have to be really committed to actually come back after waiting through the 24h rf timer. And frankly, for such a low value target, it will probably not be worth it. (Unless it is in a location someone is already spending days.)

Will there be roving gangs of people RF'ing every office they can find? Possibly. Will they remember to come back after the 24h rf timer? Most likely not. Just make sure you have some Basi's or carriers to rep up the office afterwards.

This is great, we're getting blamed for things we didn't even do yet. Sure, when those offices go live, we'll have a field day shooting at them to cut off POS fuel to people outside the Greater Swarm and for tears, but for now you can run your farms without fear.

So yeah, pretty sure that for once, this isn't our fault, but if you insist, we'll gladly take credit!
