Any Advice, Maybe?

Hello.

After a while without EVE, I came back to it and found myself even more unknowing than before. Especially regarding my future plans. For now, I am really looking forward to an Orca - hence the skill queue -, but really; there's a big bunch of stuff possible. Missions aren't that bad, mining, manufacturing, chilling (good thing that doesn't take any skills), even some PvP appeal, too. The latter, though, repels me still. So much to lose, so much to not care about. Hah. No.

Of course, instead of a definite direction, I bet there's a lot of core skilling I have missed. Please point that out as well.

I do know I pretty much screwed up my skills a fair bloody lot, so please do not judge me for what I have currently. All I want is some guidance as to what to train next based upon my present skills.

Character Sheet

I apologise for the vague post.

Cheers.

what do you enjoy doing?
- you like shooting things? train for a mission battleship.
- you like gambling? finish your tengu training.
- you like producing things? train industry skills.
- you like porn? train for mackinaw.

I should buy an Ishtar.

That is exactly the question I've been facing ever since I started playing EVE.
I love mining; it lets me do other stuff while making a considerable amount of ISK.
I like mission running; it has explosions.

The rest? I dunno.

Be careful about taking up mining; it can be relaxing and profitable, but every so often some PVP purists will sponsor "Hulkageddon", which is basically a clay pigeon shoot with mining barges as the clay pigeons (whether the barge pilots like it or not). Also, in certain systems, miner bumpers have set up an extortion scheme where they demand substantial ISK payments to forestall them harassing you by bumping your ship with theirs (which gets annoying when the bumping gives you an awful off-true vector and doesn't even allow you to warp away). Plus there are occasional gankers floating around.

That said, if you find a quiet spot with a nice selection of rocks to drill, it's almost like a meditative experience. EVE doesn't always have to be a nerve-jangling adrenalin rush.
