Tried to manually update by selecting what was said to be the latest patch, that downloaded but made no difference at all. See earlier post.

Tried to use the generic patcher, which downloaded, even told me all was up to date, but when I go to log in, nothing, absolutely nothing has been resolved. Once again, see earlier post.

No of the suggestions so far posted have done anything. They seem to work but when you go to log in it's just the same old.

See earlier post!!

I'll check with Transgaming if they know of problems with XSlimmer and EVE. It might be worthwhile to try disabling XSlimmer, if that's possible, and give it another shot.

Tested it twice (undock/redock; client relog) still the same problem. Because i only have the tengu there i cant switch to an other ship. So i had to get of my Tengu at ouer POS Ship mentance array.

With the most recent client patch my overview and station services windows change shape/location on my monitor everytime I dock or undock.

It happens on both my characters - any ideas on how to fix this?

Ships doesn't spin on any account. Dock - undock - load unload station env doesnt help.
Cash cleared - doesnt help.
After cash clear if I change ships, I have 2 ship in dock in same time.

Overview windows after undock change position and size every time.
Same if dock - station service window change size and position.
If you split windows from each other - they doesn't change position after undock.

Only one good thing in this patch - looks like game run a little bit faster, I mean more optimized engine.

One way to attempt fixing the window sizing\position issue is to hit the "Reset to default window positions" button under "Reset Settings" from the Escape menu.

Seems to only be the language files that are affected. Maybe this is a XSlimmer issue, where by a lot of people slim their systems by removing unnecessary languages?

On a side note, I have never had any issues with an update before.

Update:
Also tried grabbing the direct patch from http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp unfortunately still the same issue.

Same problem here. Mac running 10.5.8. Had previously removed many "unnecessary" languages on my Mac as well.

Hey CCP! Thank you so much for bringing ship spinning back! I sorely missed this beloved feature of this game.

Now that I have thanked you for a job well done, I need to scream bloody hell about your complete lack of QA. The window positions+sizes of overview and station services frickin reset everytime I dock and undock.. I noticed this within 5 minutes of playing. Do you have any idea how much of a royal pain it is to have to fix these windows EVERYTIME I DOCK/UNDOCK?!?!?! HOW COULD YOU MISS THAT? DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO TEST IT AT ALL?

I thought the letter from your CEO was a sign of turning over a new leaf but.. ffs... if I was paying for this, I'd probably unsubscribe for complete lack of QA. Get a clue, test your stuff, I'm sick of testing it for you.

Sorry to rant so viciously, but COME ON, how could you have possibly missed that bug? I'm severely disappointed in you guys.

It's strange that the client, doesn't autopatch we'll look into it. Meanwhile you can just manually patch from http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp either by downloading the patch from 292761 or running the generic patcher.

Cheers!

My GTX 560 Ti (about $290) is at 40% in ship spinning, and floats around 90% in Incarna (with admittedly very high settings). I'm not rolling out the whaaaambulance, but I wanted to confirm I noted a large performance hit in 1.1.2.

I can't spin my ship. I can see it floating there, and its even slowly rocking back and forth, but I can't rotate the camera around it. I've undocked, redocked, clicked load station environment, redocked, entered captain's quarters, left the quarters, redocked, unchecked and rechecked the load station environment and I still can't move the camera.

Other issues:
  • overview refuses to be resized. I can't get it thinner than this, and that's too fat.
  • overview jumps around, I found it at the bottom of the screen instead of where at the top where it should be upon undocking.
  • the station information window keeps resizing, its slightly thinner than it should be and shorter than it should be, and doesn't remember resizing.
  • the station information window is missing the station information and owner's icon.

Thanks for bringing back ship spinning.... In the future, PLEASE TEST YOUR PATCHES BEFORE YOU DEPLOY THEM! I would think that's common sense.. but i guess common sense isn't common.

SAME ISSUE as a lot of other people. EVERYTIME you dock/undock, the services windows, overview, selected item and scanner windows reset.

I have 3 accounts, ship spinning works on 2 but not on 1, all the setting are exactly the same on all 3 accounts.

    I have tried the following
    Logging off and on again
    Loading and unloading station enviroments
    Docking and undocking
    Switching ships
    Clearing the cache
    Clearing all settings

    nothing works

and I have the same overview / station services resizing problems everyone else seems to be having

    Oh one other thing, CCP.

Couple weeks ago on SiSi, I checked out the revisions that added ship spinning, and it had a nice icon down by the undock button, basically three arrows, cyan in color pointing the other way, to return to CQ.

Now you got a really cheezy black button that just say 'enter captain's quarters.' This is really shoddy and completely unprofessional. It really looks like you guys rushed this out. PLEASE STOP RUSHING THINGS OUT. You're doing more harm than good. Cut it out. What you had on SiSi looked good and you frickin abandoned it for this cheeze? WTH? Are you guys ACTIVELY trying to drive players away?

Your CEO said in the letter you'd stop ignoring us and start listening to us. LISTEN! STOP RUSHING! JUST STOP IT! Have you learned NOTHING from Incarna being rushed out? This patch has made the game LESS PLAYABLE, LESS ENJOYABLE, LESS FUN because you blew it, you didn't test, you released it with so obvious a bug it just makes one wonder wtf you are doing.

BTW, I said I don't pay for this game, this is true, I just buy PLEX with ISK... someone else pays for me. But you guys really did not earn your paychecks with this patch. I think you should take a pay penalty, maybe that'll encourage your devs to stop rushing out garbage.

If I did pay, I'd unsubscribe immediately just to send a message that shoddy workmanship should not be tolerated, and re-sub when you fix it. As it is, the frustration factor caused by your rushed out trash has me basically not playing.

By the way, if you guys rush out anything ever again in a broken state with bug(s) so obvious a 3 year old would notice them within a few minutes, I'm going to conclude the letter from your CEO was nothing but a bag of hot meaningless air and completely insincere.

Workaround for station services and overview windows not keeping position.

1.Dock, enter hangar view, go to esc menu, general settings tab, change windows snap option to "Don't snap"
    2. Grab the station services window and move it a little bit away from screen edges (it should not stick to any side od screen)
    3. Enter esc menu again and turn the snap on to your desired value.
    4. Undock. If the ov windows were relocated previously put them in the position you want them to be.
    5. Dock. Station services window should not be relocated from the posision you put it in the last time.
    6. Undock. Same as above - ov should not be relocated.

Checked on 5 computers with different hardware/software configuration. Worked on all of them. It seams the client thinks the ov windows and station services window are on top of each other and thus client relocates them during session change to make you see both. It would be the same if you snap a market window to the same screen edges you have ov snaped to and undock.

I'm not sure if this is new or not, but I've noticed something odd with Agent conversations...

If I have an agent conversation open, pin it, collapse it to title bar, then close it (close button or log off) when I start conversation with the same agent again, (after returning or logging back on) the now collapsed pinned title bar agent conversation window takes approximately 20-30 seconds for me to be able to restore it so I can see the new offer.

Seems a little odd to have the spinning circle for so long, for an offer that is already in my journal or just showing the usual "unless your here for a job get out of my sight" dialog...

    - Position and size of the overview and the station services window keeps changing when undocking/docking.
    - In some of the my characters, activated modules that should display the cycling graphic around the module don't, just pulsating instead (this bug has been around for a couple of patches).

Workaround for 'Jumping windows' when dock/undock - disable 'Snap window' option in General settings ('Window Snap Distance' = 'Dont Snap') AND move those windows slightly off the edge of the screen.

Helped me and few other ppl already.
