The best evidence of the above is to look at the sell:buy ratio in the GTC sell forum. It used to be pretty even, but lately it's been pretty heavy on the WTB posts. The people who had the discretionary RL cash to get some isk have less and are purchasing fewer of those GTCs for isk sale.

Prices were higher over the last weekend....they seem to have dropped 30-40M since Saturday.

And then there's Incursions, which have greatly boosted many people's ISK incomes. More ISK available to pay for PLEX ➞ PLEX prices rise. Note how little impact CCP's "PLEX your muscles" campaign has had on the PLEX price.

This would be my guess.

Most people claiming they quit probably just spend their remaining isk on plex until they run out of isk.
If an increasing amount of people do this, supply wouldn't be able to keep up with demand, so price goes up.

LOL i have to say something about this you do know SOMEONE had to buy that plex with IRL cash in the first place right?
using plex has never been FREE game time, someone payed CCP money for that game time.



Of course someone bought it and CCP got their money, but when incarna hit, I switched from credit card payment to plex.

Not because of some form of 'protest' BS, but simply because I figured I'd not continue playing in the long run if CCP kept on heading down that road - so i may just burn the virtual currency belonging to CCP anyway to keep skilling in case CCP came to their senses again.

I didn't give a **** about how much money CCP might or might not make, as long as it's not my money...


This. My feelings exactly. Sold two accounts, have enough ISK to play without giving CCP my money ever again.
