Doesnt matter if Strip miners or Ice harvesters would cause damage to another ship. Miner would still die horribly due to lack of fitting skills. Miner rolls the d20....fumble.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I think salvaging would be better. It would be cool to salvage a ship from under a pilot and leave them in a pod next to a barrel with their loot.

Notice how ORE Beams are to big to cut roids precisely and they have a funnel around them. I think the Laser vaporizes the dreg rocks that are worthless and the funnel Tractor Beam that sucks up the few m3 sized ORE chunks to strong to be vaporized for Ship and Item construction and that is why they don't do damage to ships.

I support this idea.

I also want a Rorqual that shoots mining ships at targets. When the industrial core is active it will do damage similar to a dread in siege mode. It can do this damage to ships or structures but the best part is that it can do this to asteroids and get minerals. Also, the t2 industrial core makes it turn into a giant robot. It can pick up carriers and use them as +5 swords of holy justice. After the battle it will salute the enemy and fly off into space... Wait....

I can envisage ISD's having problems with gankers saying "I was asploded by Concord " to "I was sucked off by a miner"
