ATTACHING ME TO WHAT?? Shocked

No, the pic says that disabling the safety will allow you to commit actions that can lead to other capsuleers attacking you.

Disabling the safety doesn't itself cause this to happen.

I think he is talking about the accidental use of an 'h' instead of a 'k' in the word 'attaching'

But PLEASE!!
ONLY allow this module for 1 month old accounts only!!
If not i see the future!!..
In the future i bet you turn this game into a wow clone when you add additional features to the safety button such as protect me from being killed hahaha.

CCP this is a thin line, but its not all bad, good job on the new aggression timer for shooting NPC's i guess hunting the bears/farmers in wormholes and null will be more easier now without the logging off..

Let me get this straight: you want some client setting to be set up in a way that those who do not want to play "Aggression Mechanic Fu" all day lose the option after a month.

Why? So you can game the system to pad your all precious killboard?

You know, what a player sets on their client is nobody's business. And if they set up something that denies you a kill, and that bothers you, then you deserve to starve.

I keep my car key on the same ring I keep the key to the gun cabinet. Why? So I don't leave it unlocked when I go somewhere. Only a burglar looking to "upgrade" his life of crime from simple burglary to armed robbery would not like that. Therefore only a griefer would not like it when someone clicks a setting on their client that prevents you and your RR gang from lulz.

So much fear of this game becoming a WOW clone, which is impossible so long as there are no elves, but I have an equal concern for this becoming "Gotcha Online" where it's dumb little rules for every dumb little thing that only a basement dwelling neckbeard would take the time to master, as if the mechanic itself is the game and everything else is merely consequential.

This thread and the OP is proof that most high sec kills in this context are from someone not knowing aggression mechanics, and CCP is trying to fix that. I will welcome those new players who do not get griefed out of the game in 10 minutes. Chances are they will be of better character that this community needs.

I guess the proof is in the pudding right? what proof? did you even bother backing up what you written with killboard links on your accusations..?

I should, but I can't shake this feeling that I've been trolled. Cool

I haven't been on the test server, but would "Disable security" setting get rid of those annoying popups that come up when I shoot a non-outlaw?

I do not see a problem there IF

If this substitutes the popup windows that ask you

"You really want that...

...You really really want that?"

Its much clearer if there is this kind of button and gankers can disable it beforehand and do not have to click the anoying pop up windows away when they want to fire...

I guess my point is I don't see how this makes highsec any safer. All this does is prevent you from accidentally taking a can or shooting someone who'll get you concorded. It doesn't stop anyone from doing so who intend to do so.

it does not....people will die with safty on LolLolLol

Haven't tested it myself but from what we have heard about this feature during fanfest that's exactly what it is for. Instead of the not really user friendly popup warnings you get that shiny button.

So in the end nothing really changes except that you don't always have to disable those stupid popups and then reset your settings when you want to have them back on. I say it's a good thing because it does not make anything any safer as it is now. Just less of a pain in the arse.

Disabling the safety is a perfect opportunity to add more sound to Eve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWwOJlOI1nU

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Seriously? Are people actually whining about this?

What is wrong with you? If you don't like the button then turn the safety off and leave it off. I think the idea for the button is okay, not good, not bad, just ok and I'll be permanently turning it off. It will save me having to click those bloody "You about to do something naughty" messages in lowsec.

I don't see why would anyone compalin about those buttons. Feature was already implemented from day one, in the form of warning popups.

Pretty much. They're a bit more comprehensive than that since the new flagging system cuts out a couple of special cases that were hard to catch with popups before, but in essence it's just a global, easily accessible “Warn about S-flags Y/N?” and “Warn about C-flags Y/N?” toggle.
