Hi all.

Need some advice regarding the essential skills required on my INT/MEM plan before i remap to PERC/WILL.

Some background: I'm 1.5 months old with 2M SP. I'm specializing in Armor Tanking/Lasers to pilot the Amarr lineup. My current goals are to pilot Amarr ships capable of doing L4s as fast as possible.

I wish to complete as many essential INT/MEM skills to last me as long as possible after I remap. Here are my current plans:

Skill / Current Level ---> Planned Level

Armor Tanking
Repair Systems IV ---> V
Mechanics IV ---> V
Hull Upgrades IV ---> V
Armor Compensations IV ---> ? (Not sure if "V" is worth it)

Utility / Cap / Fitting
Energy Management IV ---> V
Energy Systems Operation IV ---> V
Engineering IV ---> V
Electronics IV ---> V
Electronics Upgrades IV ---> ?
Energy Grid Upgrades IV ---> ?
Targeting II ---> IV
Signature Analysis 0 ---> IV
Long Range Targeting II ---> IV

Miscellanous
Armor / Jury / Astronautics / Energy Weapon Rigging 0 ---> IV
Thermodynamics 0 ---> ?
Salvaging 0 ---> IV
Navigation Skills (All except Jump Drives) IV ---> ?
Astrometrics I ---> IV
Rangefinding / Pinpointing / Acquisition 0 ---> ?

Estimated Duration: ~ 50 days

Are there any gaps I should fill? Are my Level V choices worth my time to pursue?

I would bring armor comps to four. Five is to much for a 1.5 month Char, you have to much other stuff to train for.

If you ever want to fly logistics, Long range targeting to 5 would be worth it.
Electronic Upgrades 5 unlocks covert ops and should defiantly be trained.
Signature analysis 5 with covert ops unlocks Recon ships, another good skill.
Energy Grid 5 can be postponed for now IMO.

Thermodynamics to 3 or 4
Navigation and Evasive maneuvering to 5, rest to 4 is good for your first pass.
Astrometrics to 4 support skills to 3

Other skills you can potentially add.

Cloaking to 4
Hacking and Archaeology to 4
Cybernetics to 4 or 5
Electronic Warfare to 4, unlocks Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing (More Drone Control Range)

And Refining 5 and Refine Efficiency 4 depending if you use it.
And..another long stretch, but the Nightmare, a very nice Pirate Laser ship is shield tanked. Might want to consider Shield tanking skills.

I would consider whether or not you want to get into T3 cruisers, as you can grab the int/mem heavy subsystems now (once things such as mech V and electronics V are done) and train those up to your desired level.

Also I went and put assorted E-war skills to IV in my plan. I don't know if you want to commit to those extra couple weeks of training or not.

Specific re-maps really do their best work/savings on skills at V.
It looks like you have a decent plan , and some good advice here to help you make decisions.

My 2 cents is this:
You must be anxious to do some ships n gunnery skills. You could filter in one here and there. Just do them to lvl IV and save those V's for the hard remap later.
Until then, you can get a lot of good INT/MEM V's that will last you forever. If you do it right, You can stay on your next re-map for 2 years or longer.

For the record.
It is common for 1st year players to train at less than optimal for awhile, because they just need so many skills.
IMO , well balanced skills are more important than optimal training time. Don't feel like you HAVE to stay in the optimal every hour of the year.
