Cause there isnt a popup that warns you that Big Brother CONCORD is watching...

I see where they are coming from, but make its only on or off, none of this blocking you from going suspect...

I guess my point is I don't see how this makes highsec any safer. All this does is prevent you from accidentally taking a can or shooting someone who'll get you concorded. It doesn't stop anyone from doing so who intend to do so.

I guess the Aztecs were right about the world ending, I see the signs already, NickyYo and I are in agreement. Protecting people from their own stupidity is stupid. What's next, a required breathalyzer before undocking so people don't lose expensive stuff when drunk (I promise you that happens way more than accidental Concordokken)?

A much better solution to preventing new players from getting themselves concordokken (<--Love that word), how about changing the default setting to auto-target off. Auto targeting has to be one of the leading causes of noob suicide by cop. Dumbing down the game for everyone is not a positive solution.

New-Eden isn't so cold and harsh when Big Brother holds your hand, and wipes your butt for you.

EVE is not for stupid people. If your dumb enough to shoot everyone outside the noob station with a velator repeatedly, and then go whine about it, then EVE is not for you.

Please keep it this way, DUST is enough of an incursion into our little world of intellectuals.

ONLY allow this module for 1 month old accounts only!!
If not i see the future!!..
In the future i bet you turn this game into a wow clone when you add additional features to the safety button such as protect me from being killed hahaha.

CCP this is a thin line, but its not all bad, good job on the new aggression timer for shooting NPC's i guess hunting the bears/farmers in wormholes and null will be more easier now without the logging off..

Let me get this straight: you want some client setting to be set up in a way that those who do not want to play "Aggression Mechanic Fu" all day lose the option after a month.

Why? So you can game the system to pad your all precious killboard?

You know, what a player sets on their client is nobody's business. And if they set up something that denies you a kill, and that bothers you, then you deserve to starve.

I keep my car key on the same ring I keep the key to the gun cabinet. Why? So I don't leave it unlocked when I go somewhere. Only a burglar looking to "upgrade" his life of crime from simple burglary to armed robbery would not like that. Therefore only a griefer would not like it when someone clicks a setting on their client that prevents you and your RR gang from lulz.

So much fear of this game becoming a WOW clone, which is impossible so long as there are no elves, but I have an equal concern for this becoming "Gotcha Online" where it's dumb little rules for every dumb little thing that only a basement dwelling neckbeard would take the time to master, as if the mechanic itself is the game and everything else is merely consequential.

This thread and the OP is proof that most high sec kills in this context are from someone not knowing aggression mechanics, and CCP is trying to fix that. I will welcome those new players who do not get griefed out of the game in 10 minutes. Chances are they will be of better character that this community needs.

What is this "safety mode button" you are talking about?

You can pre-set if your weapons will acitvate on a target that makes you a suspect or a criminal. That is with the safety set to green you cannot shoot something that would cause you to become a suspect, and set to yellow you cannot shoot something that would cause you to become a criminal.
If set green you can still shoot anyone you have rights to shoot. The safety does not in any way stop someone from shooting you.

Its just a replacement for the "dangerous act" popup warning.

If they do the classic can flip (steal, jet, move all your ore to the jetted can) then yes. So the new flippers will use two ships: The thief ship and the neutral. Neutral jets a can, thief moves your ore into that can. As the neutral never committed an illegal act, you cannot recover the ore from his can unless you are willing to become a suspect.

Edit: CCP, I do not know if you want to fix this edge case, but if so add these: "A suspect or criminal may not place anything in a container unless they own that container. If you try and take an item from a container you do not have rights to, the only place you can deposit that item is in your own ship."

You can claim this game is more "mature" than wow but never that it's better. It's different.
Patches are faster, expansions are free (erm Aion too and it's free to play), content is...erm inexistent or the same after a decade?

Wow: Rogue->warrior->Dk-Paladin: restart but leave all other classes in shadows and balance once in a while (shadow!!)

Eve: Gallente->Minmatar->minmatar-minmatar-minmatar-drake (eventually)-Tengu (olol, I lol hard on this one)->minmatar->AHAC Amar->Minmatar
Eventually, since there's no other races/classes just buff minmatar.

Indeed, it's so more interesting and difficult for a couple hundred thousands nerds to adapt to a millions subs nerds than the other way around ;(
It's pathetic you need more than 3 buttons to play, how would eve look like if you had to use about 20? -impossible !!

The single safety mode I know in eve is called "unsub" button and "uninstall" icon under program files.

Everything else is a scam Lol

Here's me laughing at the highsec haters losing their easy-mode!

They bang on and on about how they hate highsec, making comparisons to theme-parks and hello-kitty online, and yet whine like little girls when they're risk-free highsec-based easy-mode is changed.

Why are you even in highsec if you hate the carebears method of play? I suggest you go to the areas in eve where PvP is supposed to happen. But yeah, not easy there at all is it, with all those targets shooting back...... much better to gank risk-free targets in highsec that don't fight back, right?

They wouldn't know real PvP if it came up and smacked them in the face.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

you can whine all you want, hillmar and co. wants cash moneh, and making highsec safe is a great way to increase subs

go figure, people dont want to pay for a game where random dicks can **** them

im looking forward to the day when FW can capture null systems for their faction and they get upgraded to highsec myself.

Removing all safety features from our nuclear arsenal making the Aztecs right, of course.

I don't see this as different from the "if you steal from this can the owner can come and kill you" type messages that already appear but just manifested in a different way.

Don't worry, there are plenty of reverse-flip mechanics that can be used to blow people up under new crime watch system. You just need to think more creatively :)
