FPS Stutter once a second

Every time I'm in combat my FPS starts to stutter.
I have 60 FPS, my desktop computer is good enough to run at max settings, but all the time the screen just hangs once a second.

If I had a FPS graph, it would look something like this:

Things I've tried, not in that order.

  • Running EVE in fullscreen.

  • Forcing v-sync

    Turning off AA

Powersettings in control panel to High performance

    Setting interval to immediate

Looking at CPU and RAM while in combat, one core is most used with about 80% sometimes while in combat.

I've seen people having similar problems, and some that some of the things I've tried has helped for some of them, but not for me.
I will appriciate any help on the matter.

Here is my DxDiag:

I have the same issue for three days now, only that it only appears to happen in PvE missions. As soon as the last rat is gone everything returns to normal. It's quite annoying as this even results in loss of keystrokes now and then. This doesn't happen in player crowded areas.

The game ran fine before, clearing the cache and deleting the logs didn't change anything.

Does anybody else have similar problems and maybe a solution or a guess why this is happing suddenly?

hey there!

i´ve got a similar problem:
-running 2x 7850 in crossfire
-32xAA with supersampling
-stereoscopic 3d via tridef
-intel i7 @ 5ghz

erverything works great until something starts to "blink" (chat notifications, overview targeting)

by disabling the blink notifications in chat i can easily achieve 200 fps (both gpus 100%) in well populated space
but when someone is targeting me (player or rat, even in low populated space) my fps go down to 25-35 (first gpu 100%, 2nd gpu 10-20%).

as far as i found out it´s a rendering or adressing problem with the 2d enviroment (overview and chat) when something is "blinking".

don´t know if it´s driver depending or not.

would be nice if a dev can confirm.
