So, one of the coalitions in our alliance got wardec'd, so we dec'd their alternative corporation and started killing their PoS; they then went an joined "Dec Shield" and left it, now they surrendered without having to pay us anything or us being able to deny the surrender?

What kind of crap is that; they accepted the wardec and even started getting allies; then they can leave the war without any repercussions? What happened to the dec system?

And now we get a permanent mutual war with dec shield that we have to fight?

A few months ago this was considered an exploit, now you're allowed to do this crap?

When they leave the alliance, you will get a week-long war with them. You get the surrender message for when a corporation actually joins the alliance. When it leaves, you'll get another message saying you're at war.

Dec Shield no longer allows corporations to shed wars. It exists for another reason entirely (to trap aggressors in permanent wars).

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

I just don't get it, the corp that the alliance aggressed was an alternate corp that tried to aggress them; even threatened them to pay 100 mil for every corp in their alliance to get out of the war. Seems pretty petty to me, especially since we're all Wormhole and you guys are a bunch of carebears.

Being in a war that means nothing is cool though, just means they have a few more things we can KOS, and if they ever actually get targetted by your shielding exploit crapathon, they've got more than enough allies to jump in the permawar. I'd love to see another "Great EVEWar" just like that of the NULLSec-capades with motherships cynoing back and forth, would be great.

But oh wait... empire carebears... don't have motherships, oh.. that might be a problem for you guys.

EDIT: Just realised that as empire carebears the largest ship you guys could fly is a jump freighter, the largest angry ship would be.. a battle badger? Maybe even a battle rorqual? Erm.. some battleships, battlecruiers.. basically the bottom five tiers of New Eden. I wonder how those stand up to Carriers, Dreads, Motherships, etc? Titans are pretty **** now with doomsday being single target, but they make great bridges for our fleets.

I'd love to see a good fight, one hasn't happened for a fairly long time in EVE; been rather annoyed since I've come back at exactly how many people fight now, and all the fights I've gone into recently have just been "oh hey, so I've got 20 ECM drones and a 5dps laser, webifier and stasis, I'm going to kill you really really slowly and you can't do anything about it."

Well to be fair most people who were getting defeated by 20 ecm drones repeatedly might have adapted and fitted a smartbomb or some eccm. Just saying ....

The thing is, they're a wormhole alliance, with many wormhole allies. They never leave wormhole, and if they need anything in Jita they have other (unlinked) alliances fetch it for them, bring it into low or null where they have gatecamps set up to their K162... etc, and that's only once every few months.

Basically the wardec means nothing to them, just funny. Looks good to their alliance history if they've been in a war for a while and lost absolutely nothing.

It could be worse. We war decced a griefer corp who were ganking friendly militia. They set the war mutual and abandoned their corp. Now we are stuck in a forever war and can never ever join an alliance. We petitioned it, but working as intended.

To make it even more fun, somebody should create an alt alliance called "No Alliance For You!". Anytime you get a war dec, you join the alt alliance, set the dec mutual, then drop alliance. This way anybody that ever declares war upon another corporation will never ever be able to join an alliance ever again. After a while, all wardecs will end as I'm sure most corps would like to switch alliances at some point and nobody wants to take the risk.

So Closed corp wardecks are allowed? If so it is seriusly ******** CCP bug.... I'd suggest you bring the matter up with the CSM' but they don't give crap about percieved HI SEC issues unless itmay affect space rich NULL alliances being dogpiled ....

LOL yeah these mechanics are beyond ********....wonder who the genius was who came up with this idea. They transferred the dec to a 1 man/inactive alliance and now we are stuck in it forever.

Welcome to EVE, where CCP cares not for Corporations or Alliances. Should I also quote how POSes still have terrible Alliance controls; kinda important. Or how when accepting a new user to my Corporation there are 2-6 of them in the roles page for 48 hours? Pretty cool feature; I opened a petition and was told this was intended.

I would also like to point out one thing....

Once they leave dec shield you can still go after them. The war does not end in 24 with them. So you still had your week to kill the pos.

You seem to not know much about the mechanics of EvE. Like the fact that Rorquals (im guessing you mean orca) cant come into hisec. Or that a smartbomb will remove ecm drones. Or that we can fly all battleships not just "some". Brush up on your eve knowledge you can use it. And about your silly war. Why not just re-dec them after they leave decshield? Seems to me if you really wanted this war to go on you would have thought of that. But im guessing you seen a POS with labs or maybe a SAA and thought it would be an easy isk in your wallet. Guess the joke was on you huh?
