I was trying to figure out what the hell, when a dual boxer with a Hulk and Orca popped into the one quiet belt I habit and proceeded to suck every drop of Scordite dry. When I protested he had the balls to claim the belt was big enough for both of us.

Yeah, as long as I don't need Pyrite in any significant quantity.

Anyhoo, this guy's characters have been in game for 9 years and neither have ever left their birth school. Purchased characters perhaps? I dunno. Everything just seems... odd. Or lame... or both.

The good news is I was drunk (really drunk) on Apple Pie Moonshine and decided it was time to lower my security status. Grabbed a 50+mil cruiser and opened fire. Of course the cops killed me. They really like to put you in a straight jacket before the pummeling don't they? After 15 minutes i went back out in another ship and just played bumpity bump till he left.

I was so disgusted with him and myself that the next day I melted my retriever and decided hi-sec belt mining wasn't for me. Back to ratting, etc. Mining is dull as dirt anyway.

I am sorry dude, but after every paragraph your wrote, I had to giggle. Which transformed into loud laughs. Really funny story haha (not for you though). Maybe you join a hisec ganker corp and pop this guy? Or just wait for the new bounty system to get your revenge Pirate

Great story, probably one of the better ones to have graced these forums in a while. I will gladly lower my security sec should you decide to murder this peon. I offer my hybrid turret to the cause.

Awww. You missed out on the most fun part of mining in high sec. When one of these jerks who cherry picks and mines in your belt when there are plenty of others shows up, you don't kill them. You mine their rocks. Just watch which asteriods he chooses, lock them, and every quarter cycle or so, stop your strip miner and restart it. You'll get a small pile of ore, the roid will have less. If you do this diligently, you can pop roids out from under him, wasting his mining cycles. It's great fun. The best part is you can do it in a nice 5 day old retriever alt. Bring 3 or 4 and really **** him off.

^^ This is always amusing, I've seen people who multibox bring a bumping ship as well to knock them out of range.

Another fun one is to figure out what time of day the jerkoff "this belt is big enough but all the x is mine" miner logs on, get there before him & take the last possible full cycle out of all the +5 & +10% variants but don't pop them, leave the nearly depleted roids there so when Mr Multiboxing AFK Orca +macks/hulks comes along every +5/+10% roid pops somewhere in the 1st cycle, he's then left with the shite and you have a decent return on your time (as mining goes). A survey scanner and knowing what you can pull in a full cycle is very handy sometimes Twisted

I've decided you are all correct.

Operation Harass, Annoy, and Lull (HAaL) is nearly complete. Intel has been gathered, patterns have been established, and the SJS Lambchop has been fitted, tested, and is ready for deployment. BBQ PvP. Slow and steady till the meat just falls off the bone.

Thank you for the scolding and advice.

wait, so there's a 3 page thread because some one decided to maximise their isk/hour in a high sec belt by cherry picking the most lucrative ore?

or is there something more important that i'm overlooking?

The short cycle mining never ceases to be great fun. It's really surprising that very few people realise what's going on right under their own nose.

It'd better than bumping too as you get minerals and tears when and if they notice what's going on.

I saw someone bumping ice miners for over an hour a few days ago and because no one paid him and isk he left empty handed short of a few rants in local. Not much profit for such a long time investment, still if you're having fun you must be playing the game.e right. Right?

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.
