While mining, a miner made me hate myself for mining.

Spent the past several months finding one quiet hi-sec system with one quiet belt to do small scale mining for materials (not for cash) in my retriever. Everything was going well till one day all the Scordite went missing from all dozen belts in the entire system.

I was trying to figure out what the hell, when a dual boxer with a Hulk and Orca popped into the one quiet belt I habit and proceeded to suck every drop of Scordite dry. When I protested he had the balls to claim the belt was big enough for both of us.

Yeah, as long as I don't need Pyrite in any significant quantity.

Anyhoo, this guy's characters have been in game for 9 years and neither have ever left their birth school. Purchased characters perhaps? I dunno. Everything just seems... odd. Or lame... or both.

The good news is I was drunk (really drunk) on Apple Pie Moonshine and decided it was time to lower my security status. Grabbed a 50+mil cruiser and opened fire. Of course the cops killed me. They really like to put you in a straight jacket before the pummeling don't they? After 15 minutes i went back out in another ship and just played bumpity bump till he left.

I was so disgusted with him and myself that the next day I melted my retriever and decided hi-sec belt mining wasn't for me. Back to ratting, etc. Mining is dull as dirt anyway.

Maybe, just maybe, you should think about what he did to you.
He didnt care and made you stop doing what you were doing.

You didnt even really try to give back the "favour" ...

This made me laff! The other option was that you could have gone to one of the other trilliazillion belts in any of the ballazillion systems that are probably nice and quiet and carried on? Lol

I wonder what happens when someone competes with you while you're trying to rat? Will you then lose your next 50 mio ship to CONCORD and stop ratting, too? Roll
