Be honest, if you pvp'd for fun and needed isk to fund your fun, would you not afk mine to make that money? Or would you eagerly stare at those rocks?

If a mining alt was my main source of income to fund my PVP habit, I'd mine in the most dangerous system I could find to inject at least some modicum of challenge and enjoyment into the time spent.

Let me tell you a story:

Today, I flew my ship into an Ice Belt. Everyone ran away. My job was done without firing a single salvo.

The End.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

No, because mining not only causes severe advanced agoraphobia, but is literally the single worst way to make ISK.

Since the barge buff the income from mining isn't actually that bad even when you don't fit for max yield (if you do fit for yield you deserve to explode hilariously & often), it is however the most boring thing imaginable to be doing in a sandbox. I tend to mine when I can't sleep, which is pretty much every night, nothing is guaranteed to make me nod off faster than mining.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Tears fuel the end game in EvE. If you are unlucky enough to get blasted - do not give a single tear. Sociopaths thrive on it. And no game has as many as we got in EvE. Why the end game here is to grief others. I mean how many billions of isk do you need?

CCP buffed up barges. They are not going to turn them invincible in high sec space. Goons would all counter with a mass we are gonna leave if you take away their largest boot in the sandbox. Nothing is safe and that's just the risk of Eve and it has been since it started. Until CCP starts holding suicide gankers fiscally responsible, which I don't think they will, expect it to continue. If not with Ice interdiction, hulkageddon, or some new tear harvesting method.

Remember don't cough up those tears! Never! They can take your ship, but they can never take your tear duct excretion modulated through text - unless you give it to them!

Thread has been cleaned of off topic, troll and flame posts.

Forum Rules wrote:

4. Be respectful of others at all times.

The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.

5. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

6. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction and alliance members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing “in character” disputes from becoming "out of character" personal attacks. The game is designed for role-playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Please keep in-game disputes in the game and off the forum unless it is clearly a mutual, in-character exchange.

7. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the players. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our forums.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

lol wish you woulda flew your ship into the GALL Ice belt my alt's skif has been frequenting so that when you appeared I could've laughed at you in local. Trolling Goons in ICE belts local had become my alts new favorite pass time until they
stopped doing it because of the mutual war DEC SHIELD now has them locked into

I imagine, that in your own world, you actually believe the things you post here.

Would you care to explain to me, oh great Visionary of Empire Space- exactly how a wardec would adversely effect a suicide ganking operation when the ships have been subsidized and we expect to die anyway? While you sit there on your all knowing publord throne, many goons made quite a incredible amount of ISK in less than 2 weeks.

Why did the interdiction end? Why exude even more effort when we had already quadrupled our investment quicker than expected. See you in highsec (which is now perfectly safe).

I am dissappointed at your staying power from last year's Ice interdiction & blaming it on a quick profit turnaround and being too lazy to extract more tears from miners?? tsk TSK

HI SEC is perfectly safe now? So you all have given up jacking frieghters in Udema too?

Because we need to assign blame after cashing out at considerable profits and moving on to more fun and exciting things.

I know that people like you thrive on hate mails so I will try to make this a little more sophisticated then just **** you.

You have decided to take advantage of a weakness of the game and just be assholes. That is your right. Yes I am a carebear and work for months patiently gathering my Isk and that is my choice. If I want to go and do some PVP or pirating, that is fine, I will.

But to just go out there and screw people like you did to me, I just don't. Maybe it's my everyday life morale that continues in game, and that might be wrong, but I guess I just decided to play with some respect.

To be killed in a WH, Null or low is just part of the game. To go in high sec and get killed like last night is just wrong. The game is letting you do this so you took advantage of it, but it's still a way of playing that is not right.

Anyway, have to satisfaction of really pissing off someone, go and do it again if that what makes you jerk off,

In the mean time, fly safe,

Redacted.

I already suffer from Agoraphobia, does that mean it is all right for me to stay in High Sec doing carebear stuff?

Also everyone should play the game the way they want... If someone wants to mine rocks all day then so be it... If someone wants to blockade a certain trade route to grief and make money at the same time then so be it... If someone wants to suicide gank people who feel they should be safe then so be it...

As long as it is within the rules of the sandbox you can cry as much as you want, but only as long as you understand that your playstyle is not the only playstyle for the sandbox.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

I have already lost TWO MACKINAWS!!!

I'm only posting on an alt so i don't get hunted down and killed AGAIN.

I am so tired of this.

How are we supposed to mine like this?

I hate those stupid goons.

If I could buy Eve billboard space in Highsec.... what I would say to whiner miners

Welcome to Eve Miners, highsec is not Safesec - if you lose your ships while mining - go buy another one and this time learn how to fit, change regions, basically teach YOURSELF how to stay alive - ask other players for help if needed. Don't blame anyone else but yourself for losing your ship and don't post on the forums about it. Yes.. we know.. everything is the Goons fault... even global warming doncha know..

...but who reads billboards anyway

I'm not a carebear... I'm a SPACE BARBIE!  Now... where's Ken?

You do realise that doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity right?

You should have trained shield and armour skills. Add hull skills too. You could fit to protect yourself from the gank attempt at a small reduction in yield per cycle better that than buying and refitting another ship.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

Why? It seems to work just fine to whine up a storm and wait for daddy CCP to buff base HP, surely it'll work again.

Yes. And then you have protection AND the yield per cycle.

And maybe as a surprise, CCP even lets you afk for even longer than before. Amazing.
