Custom Custom Offices = worst idea ever

At first when I read the news I checked for 1st of April. Realizing that it is not, made me consider if the CCP PI team's main task is to ruin the player experience to a maximum extend.

Let me do a little foresight on what is going to happen:
- High-sec PI will be completely ruined. The already volatile prices will skyrocket.
- Low-sec PI will be impossible, because your local gank squad is waiting there for you. And if you don't show up, they destroy it.
- 0.0 PI will be frequently interrupted by roaming gank squads. Just shooting it for fun.
- Shared offices mean: "Has anyone seen my Electrolytes? No one? Strange..."
- Limitation of offices to players/corps means: "Who put this f... office here? Fire at will!"
- And if it is well-protected by design, there will be a few earning money out of nothing, while others have no chance to participate other than... "Who put this f... office here? Fire at will!"

Seriously... limiting an entire planet to a single corp/player... what are you guys smoking??

You do know that the corp/player can allow their customs office to service other players while they can tax it and therefore earn some passive ISK that way?

You sound like a carebear whining about getting slapped in the face.
Please stop crying, it's annoying.

Just FYI, you can orbital-launch PI stuffs without a customs office. I do it all the time.

How much in tax do you think you can make from the office. BPC will start at 20billion + investment, not including cost. How much tax do you need to cover that very defenseless structure?

Anyways, a great debate already going on here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=22964&p=1 come join the fun and add your 2isk to the conversation.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but IMO it would have made much more sense to convert all existing customs offices into destructible ones; transfer them over to an NPC corporation, triple the tax, and then make them destructible.

Simply to remove the existing ones entirely from the game seems a poor choice.

Apparently you didn't read the whole blog

the beat down squads "just for fun" have to have the attention span to COME BACK to finish it off.

CCP said PLANETS WOULD BE WORTH FIGHTING FOR .... how much more did you need?

It won't be as bad as you think

Always ... Never ... Forget to check your references.   Peace out Zulu! Hope you land well!
