:)
Just saw the TCP/IP comment about 1982 - spent 2 weeks in a class with Dan Zydacho (Early TCP/IP) developer.

That was the most intensive learning since College - it had its humerous moments, as Dan had a cast on his left leg and he could not reach the itch.

How about that for authentication.

:)

It was Fun. :)
A major brain/math download with a twist - like climbing out on the smallest branch of a tree 60 ft from the ground,

Just to find that the branch was very strong.

Then suddenly everyone is useing the RFC and building on it - OMG the internet is Born, I was there when (as an IC Engineer) US WEST started their first implementation. Oh what fun.

Looking back to those early years (1976 - 2002) and seeing where it is now, I often feel like the cave man who chiped away at a stone and came up with the first arrow head/ spear. I helped shapen the first stones which have become the technology of today. Amazing what a solid math and science education can lead you to :) Thank You Charles Krump and Larry Orelofft, and a special Thank You to George Lord (Minnesota MARS) for teaching me the basics of electronics in 1966.

It was always fun and challenging - yet so rewarding when understanding was realized.

And I am so glad I was there, it was fun.

Out mining with a gang, suddenly everyone is disconnected.

This happened within less than an hour. We all warped and jumped back to home system and logged off.

Pointless to keep trying.

Thank You,

It's probably you. I barely ever get disconnected.

You really don't get it? Binary only has 2 numbers, 1 and 0................

Funny how he talks about 'everyone' in his fleet, when he's really talking about his bots.

I guess this is a pet peeve of mine. Why do people feel the need to sign their forum posts? We can see your name on the left. This is not a formal letter.

So you must've known Al Gore then. Did he steal your work, or just tell you guys to invent the internet for him? :)

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

To answer the OP:

You are likely haveing problems due to the networks between you and the the CCP servers that unfortunately CCP has no control over.

You should take a look at -> http://www.internettrafficreport.com and check on the various areas between you and the EVE servers.

Unfortunately, complaining here will not help solve your problems as it is not a widespread issue affecting all eve players.

"gang" - so everyone in his gang was on the same ISP or net path? CCP could easily have a sick node they don't know about.

OP - How many in your gang and where are their physical homes?

Which system were you trying to mine in? What time did this happen?

Those are all things that you should put on your petition to CCP.
