Hi gentle space pirates,

what skills increase the amount of drones you can command at once in space, currently ihave four and can't see how to increase that number.

is it a 'train this skill' or is it a ship bonus thing?

Train the skill called 'Drones' to L5 & that will let you use 5 drones. If you already have that trained, then the issue is your drones of choice use more bandwidth than the ship can handle.

Only three types of ships can have more than five drones out: carriers, supercarriers, and Guardian-Vexors (which were limited-issue, are no longer being produced, and are nearly extinct in EVE).

Drones V is practically a must-have; it opens up Tech II drones, heavy drones, EW drones, and the also-must-have skill Drone Interfacing (which initially allowed you to control more than 5 drones, but now cranks up your drones' firepower by 20% per level).
