OP, I have a question for you:

If Eve contained solo ships for solo players, ones that are more powerful than fleet ships but unable to take advantage of gang bonuses, would you still play?

You've had a learning experience by playing this game. Is it impossible for a player to be a one man army, a Robin Hood that is a thorn in a kingdom? No, that it's very much a possibility. Are you smart, clever, and special enough to be that hero? Well, as you've learned, the answer is no.

Is there a concrete answer for why these threads crop up time after time, no matter the MMO? An answer other than it's some form of psychosis I mean.

Most people just leave the game and dont say anything. Only a select few can go on the forums and act like a 6yo girl who didnt get that My Little Pony doll she wanted so she stomps off to her room and slams the door. Bravo. Perhaps now Op can go apply some mascara and make a youtube video about why he/she/it is quitting.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
