My small mercenary alliance was hired to destroy two Towers belonging to Quasar Generation in Piak (3-24 and 4-6).

After our dec went through, Kamteix from les chevaliers de l'ordre in goonswarm convo'd me and threatened that if we didn't immediately drop our war with Quasar Generation that Goonswarm would declare war upon us and utterly crush us.

Of course, we were immediately very concerned and we offered to drop our war in exchange for him paying us the value of our contract plus expenses. He then said that we must quit now or that we would be hounded from the game of Eve. Now, we don't take kindly to being threatened and frankly we figured that Goonswarm would be smarter than to dec a merc alliance over their conducting regular business... however we apparently underestimated the fear involved that Kamteix's alt corp would lose their highsec towers. Goonswarm declared war on us that very day.

We attempted to seek a diplomatic solution to this obvious misunderstanding by generously offering to drop our now mutual war with goonswarm in exchange for covering the value of our contract and expenses. Goon diplomats reiterated their position that this was meaningless and in fact good fun.



In the spirit of good fun and creating content for the Goons we would like to open our doors to any and all corporations that wish to join Manifest Destiny. and receive a free unending dec against Goonswarm.


Now, to the particulars:

We have outgoing wars that are mutual so any corporation that joins Manifest Destiny. will be unable to join another alliance until such time that CCP fixes the complete abomination that they turned the wardec system into.

COMPLETELY FREE TO JOIN OUR ALLIANCE NOW (in light of Zerg's info on alliance voting and the obvious goon desire for plenty of targets)

Corporations that join will be allowed in one at a time and then immediately kicked from the alliance and then they are free to pursue their war with goonswarm for free (provided they declare it mutual) until they tire of it or CCP corrects the wardec system.

If you're unsure about having pilots tied up in a war with goonswarm simply create a 1 man war holding corp, join, leave and then bring in pilots whenever you feel like engaging them.

BUT SORYN, I'M IN AN ALLIANCE AND THIS WON'T HELP ME!!!


Oh yes it will with these simple steps:

1. Create an alt 1 man corp and have that corp pick up the dec from Manifest Destiny.

2. Once that corp has left, have it ask for assistance against the goons. Assist said corp against the goons with your alliance for the 6 days or so of war you'll have.

3. Make a new alt corp and repeat.

It is possible to toggle mutual back on some initially but there are unconfirmed reports that mutual toggling won't work after a certain point. Either way we're still around to cycle through another corp to allow your free alliance fighting against Goonswarm.






It is our sincere goal that we can help provide enjoyment to the many bored pilots of Goonswarm who are currently about to start on an ice interdiction campaign in gallente space and also to provide CCP with more feedback and support for their new war system.

Yes, mutual wars are completely free.

You can let the corps join en masse. They only gain voting rights after they've been part of the alliance for 7 days. So there's no risk

OP now updated with how to get your alliance in on a free war with goonswarm and all associated costs have been removed since there is no need to try and prevent spammed goon alt corps attempting to take things over.



I should probably also mention that no corp leaving goonswarm can ever join another alliance without our permission.. and once this starts spreading, well, without everyone involved giving them permission.

It's not functionally different from creating alt corps to move wars from alliances to dec shield.
