Last year I started an exciting journey around New Eden, with the intention of documenting every system I went through (excluding wormhole systems). I managed to get through almost 100 systems across 2 regions before 'real life' got in the way and took me away from the adventure for a while.

But I'm back now, refreshed and ready to continue.

I've been cleaning a few things up, restoring my Twitter account and getting back into that, and basically returning to how things used to be.

Regional History

One of the interesting things I'm doing as I travel the galaxy is documenting the history and special events of each region I'm passing through. So far I've completed only one region, but the historical information I've gathered was quite fascinating:

As before, I'll be linking each new post in here, allowing you all to follow the adventures. If you see me in local, say hi. It would be nice to meet some of you along the way, if we're in the neighbourhood together.

The updates on my blog will be able to tell you of my progress and where I'm at, but I'm very cautious. If there's lots of people around, or my 'spider sense' is tingling, I'll just hang out in a system for a while, cloaked, until things seem to return to normal, or it's just after downtime and no one's around. There will be plenty of ways I'll be doing my best to avoid ambushes as I continue around the galaxy..

I used to have a -10 security status. As I travel, I'll be trying to get that down to 0, so I can easily include the highsec regions in my travels.

Does anyone know of any other players out there who are travelling the galaxy and document it in a blog or podcast or video?

I know there were this legendary guy that did this kind of stuff first.. but i cant remember his name now but im sure ive read everything he has done.

@Veronika - I think that was Innominate Nightmare, a long time ago. Yes, he was an inspiration for me to follow in his footsteps, although I don't think he completed his journey.

@Hoarr - yep, I'm aware of Eve Travel, already linked from my blog as a fellow traveller. Thanks for the tip about Poetic Stan. I've contacted him now and asked if he wants to work together on the history project.

I have always wanted to do this myself. Would be a lot of fun I think. Meeting interesting people, getting killed by those same people and seeing the sights of eve.Big smile
