Hi ccp guise.

tell me
How are we supposed to practice for upcoming tournament if sisi and Buckinghams are down most of the time?

first you announce tourney month and a half before (wtf seriously) and then you keep test servers down (and with august-old mirror lol)

its just not serious. tournament with not well prepared teams will look p bad.

Indeed, if CCP wants the tournaments to be taken as serious e-sport, it needs to provide a reliable and safe (from eyes and people who would interrupt) environment for teams to practice.

Exactly.

This is just the typical CCP nonsense where one group of devs plan something awesome but it gets done in a half-assed manner.

Maybe if the devs organising this tournament had any experience of running a competitive level eve tournament team they would realise what the concerns and important factors to a team are.

That is an excellent idea! CCP should enter their own team into the tournament and actually see what it's like.

I will see what I can do regarding this matter, but obviously the development schedule of those servers takes precedent. You could always practice on TQ...I kid, I kid.

Some of the devs organizing this tournament do in fact have experience running competitive level EVE Alliance Tournament teams.

EDIT: Replaced Blink to make joke clearer. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

It is no secret that the notice for this tournament was short. The time we had to put all this together was short, but we got the opportunity from Own3d to host this tournament and we jumped on it.

I understand your position, I understand why you don't want to practice on TQ and I understand that the test servers being down is not an optimal situation.

We are currently discussing how to best solve the problem and provide you with the most uptime of the test servers we can. We will give you an update as soon as possible.
