@CCP,

nice Ship spinning, but these bugs you can have back, so pls fix them:

Docked:
1. Station Service window
1.1 Pin bug
1.2 Resize bug

Undocked:
2. Selected Item and Overview window
2.1 Pin bug
2.2 Resize bug

And ok, now we have Ship spinning back, but why in the old ugly textures ? Nothing new ?

Ship doesn't spin at all.
it is just floating slowly up and down.

I've tryed several times to
1. change Load station setting
2. dock undock
3. change ship
4. clear cache

I'd prefere to don't clear settings if possible.

I take it you have clicked the button top left in black that says "enter ships hanger"

This is a bug in the actual delivery system of the patch. Whenever I go through the Eve Client to download a patch, it brings up the following dialog. Now, the thing is that the separate administrator user is disabled - the application just needs to request to "Run as administrator." When I download the file manually, right-click and select that option in Explorer, it runs without any problems. This is very annoying as it always requires me to download patches manually instead of using the in-game system.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (SP1).

Don't know if there is a separate bug reporting facility, but I couldn't find one easily so I figured I'd better post it here (I'd find it hard to believe that this hasn't been reported before).

Did not work for me, ship is still humming up and down, yet no spinning.

E: also reinstalled the client, no effect.

The autopatch is utterly failing. On the client login screen it never gets past "Downloading Update", i.e. it never starts at all.

Now as I go to download the patch manually, i'm being told that it's going to take 8 hours to download the bloody thing. I doubt this is an issue on my end, as if my conection ran that slowly I wouldn't be able to play eve in the first place X

EDIT: Since posting this the d/l has in fact stopped altogether, and I have to restart. Yayyyyyy \o/

mine downloaded and ran the first time on restart it now prompts me again and hangs I have tried the manual download which downloads fine and patches without errors but on restarting the client it them says I have to download the same patch again and hangs :( i have tried the repair tools also which runs doesn't really say much but doesn't solve the issue.

Overview/ station services resizing and repositioning. Cleared cache- nothing, reset window positions- worked for a couple of undocks, switched between clients and bug returns. Reset window positions again, still doesn't work. T3 bug the whole time with view focus being beneath the ship. Enabled CQ, docked and undocked. Disabled CQ, docked and undocked, no change.
Random resizes for overview and station services. Very annoying. Gonna play something else today and hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow.

Everything else works fine and as advised, EXCEPT the ship doesn't spin.... Hangar loads up, the ships bobs up and down, light blink but she refuses to spin. Good job screwing up your attempt on redemption CCP, won't be investing in a plex anymore.

    I had the same problem.

Esc-->Reset Settings. It did the job for me, at least.

Downside: All your window sizings/positions, chat-channels you'd joined, overview tabs/their settings + folders in People & Places go buh-bye, and have to be re-done....Pain in the arse, but the return of such a beloved EVE-icon, combined with its' infinitely better functionality and far less resource-hogging is more than worth it, imho.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

experiencing the issue overview/station services window not remembering positions, too

Clearing cache and resetting window position settings through the ESC menu did not help.

Load character after patch for the first time in hangar mode; station services window is in the right place.
Undock, overview is in the right place.
Dock again, station services is resized.
    Undock, Overview is resized/moved vertically.
... issue keeps occurring across several docking/undocking maneuvers ...
    switch to CQ mode
windows consistently stay in their places when docking/undocking

Update: Tried resetting ALL settings, everything reset back to default and the UI craziness continues. This is gamebreaking. I need my UI to perform reliably each and everytime I undock, if something doesn't show up where I expect it to be, I could lose a multi-billion isk ship. I'm done trouble shooting and debugging.

Two accounts and no ship spinning, it was awesome until I realised there was no spin spin :(

Docked in a Caldari and Amarr station, I'm running Windows 7 64Bit on a Dell XPS Laptop and I've cleared the cache on both accounts.

Everything else is fine, can't see this button that people keep going on about!

Could you try resetting the window positions to default in the ESC menu, Reset Settings, and see if that helps with the overview/station services moving around when docking/undocking?
Not a guaranteed fix, but this seems to do it for a lot of players.

I would like a solution that does not involve a few hours of work to redo all my overview on all my accounts. I would also really like seeing in the next patch notes something that says 'We finally fixed the window manager so that all windows will remember settings forever and ever and never do weird stuff again'. I am a developer myself and while I can understand problems with shaders, renderers or other things like that, I do believe that window managers are not rocket science.

tl;dr: CCP, please fix the window manager so we don't get our overview borked every couple of major patches.

After losing the bookmarks/folders when resetting the 'settings', it seems that copying the core_char_[char number].dat file back in to settings, from the backup, restored the bookmarks without killing the spinning. The core_user_XXXX.dat file seems to be the one hosing the spinning.

    At least for me.

Edit: Again, for me, on a Mac, deleting the core_user_XXXXXX.dat file for the main char, on a second account, and restarting the game fixed the spinning, without killing too much other than all the window position and General Settings tab info. Still had the bookmark info intact. So I guess that's not too bad, but yeah, it'll be a day resetting EvE and not playing EvE.

(On a side note, .NET doesn't have a built-in htmlentities function to kill html in code? '<' is not always html.)

Resetting windows to default positions doesn't reset your overview settings, what CCP Legion is referring to is the 'Reset settings' tab in the ESC menu, in that tab there are options for resetting parts of the settings as well as the entire cache. While re-doing the various settings that this affects is a tedious task it is not as onerous as redoing all overview settings.

Regardless of the above I'd recommend exporting and backing up your overview settings just in case of cache corruption.
