First, I'd like to congratulate CCP on adding an aspect of gameplay to New Eden that we haven't seen before: structure shooting. Really, it's absolutely incredible that they thought to come up with a structure that has millions of EHP and use it as a small gang target. Join me now in applauding their efforts. Truly outstanding.

I am talking, of course, about destructible customs offices. Here CCP had an opportunity to really mess up and make the game miserable for people not flying a cap ship. But thankfully, they pulled through and made it so that everyone going on small gang (read: less than 50 people) roams can now burn down the farms and fields of their enemies with relative ease.

I'm sorry. I just can't keep a straight face anymore.

CCP, you are awful. Thanks for giving us another boring structure to shoot that has millions of EHP and no penalty if the defenders don't bother to show up. Which they won't. Because there is no point in shooting at it in the first place, unless of course you are linking the customs offices to sovereignty, in which case, **** you, because structure shooting sucks. It is a mark of how great your gameplay has become that it is best enjoyed AFK.

Also, thanks for letting customs offices be used while in reinforced. It's nice to know that 45 minutes I spent with twenty friends reinforcing that crap was well spent. And that the second trip back where we spent another 20 minutes shooting at it with nobody around which was so much fun. Because we all know that alliances die when their PI backbone gets destroyed.

Wait, wait, I get it now! Supers needed something to shoot at now that their drones are going to be gone, so you gave them this. amirite?

CCP mostly sucks at their job, but Veritas is a pretty cool dude.

The idea of implementing this change in wormholes needs to be destroyed. It makes no sense at all to implement this in wormholes. None. What... am I going to tax myself or my own corp for the fuels we make to run the pos we live in? Please.

Yay, they can be destroyed. You know what... not in the time the wormhole was open you came through, so have fun shooting something you can't pop before your exit collapses.

Basically, from a wormhole perspective it's nothing more than something that can result in minor griefing in exchange for a major pain in the ass being added to a system that works fine as is.

Look, maybe this works for systems where you have direct competitors fighting for the same resources of a planet. That's not the case in wormholes. We have ten planets. Most of them are used, and only by the people living in the hole. What possible gains would we see with this change? None at all. Absolutely none. It's a waste of time, a waste of isk and complicates something that doesn't need complicating.

What the hell were they thinking?

I for one really like the idea. Everyone who I have spoken to also thinks it is a very good idea.

I think this is just what low sec needs.

You could also REMOVE the tax for your corp and alliance.
Right?

Customs offices in a WH were immersion breakers anyway.

Imagine an epic journey into the center of the universe, beyond where anyone has gone before....

and you get there to find a strip mall, post office, Starbucks....

Dude... Pod pilots have to have their Starbucks. After all, how would they stay up until 4am to grind down the previous owner's customs offices?

The idea of implementing this change in wormholes needs to be applauded. It makes perfect sense to implement this in wormholes. What... am I going to tax myself or my own corp for the fuels we make to run the pos we live in? Please. Of course not, and I'm glad I don't have to pay CONCORD that tax anymore. Boy, what was I thinking in my first post?

Yay, they can be destroyed. You know what... not in the time the wormhole was open you came through, so have fun shooting something you can't pop before your exit collapses. So my POS customs offices should be even safer than those in lowsec.

Basically, from a wormhole perspective it's a bit of a pain to setup initially but a cost savings in the long run, and a major pain in the but for griefers to abuse.

What the hell was I thinking?

Perhaps, just perhaps, I'm overreacting a little from the wormhole perspective.

Maybe.

If these customs thingies are somewhat affordable and easy to obtain, better yet can be built at a pos and the BPCs are in ample supply, it likely will be survivable until things have settled and got rolling again.

The little guys in low and null... I feel for them however.

I too would like to see these destroy-able without a reinforcement timer.

Just think of the economic havoc that can be raised by allowing a small BC gang to drop in and kill off all your customs offices in your home system. Maybe if PI was worth doing by people, alliances would only get as big as their security fleets can secure their systems.

Let me interupt you for just the second, you may have thunder in you voice but lightning is still the best thing ever.

Anyway let me tell you why you are wrong.

First come first serve, it will be about taxes in low sec, people share planets in low sec and for the most part they get along, however when someone decides they want to hike up taxes people are going to come along and shoot theirs and anchor their own. Which will happen. No one wants to pay taxes on stuff, its like paying ransoms. It will mostly likely boost low sec pvp and people will go after these structures so their corp / alliance will build their own.

Also this is a huge wh pvp boost as many wh alliances are dependant on their planets to make pos fuel. So you want to take over a wh? Shoot their customs offices first to cut off the fuel line to their towers and then beat them down, especially for those living in deep wh space that have no k-space statics.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.
