Eve client putting iMac to sleep

I've been experiencing a very strange bug lately.

My eve client has been putting my imac to sleep. I'll be playing the game and then right click something and the machine goes to sleep, drive shuts down etc. When I wake it the eve client is still running but disconnected. Very very strange.

Anyone else experiencing this or just me?

What kind of a Mac do you have, what video card, and what OS do you run? It always helps if people write that down next to their problem. Bear

Just guessing here it might be that your Mac is overheating which is *very* possible with EVE
See if this helps against possible overheating: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23049/smcfancontrol

I'm going to ditto the Internet Diagnosis(TM) that your iMac is overheating. Follow Pak's suggestion or just dial down the graphics settings on your client.

System Specs:
24 inch, Early 2009
Processor 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB

After a bit of investigation and monitoring the computer temperature. I have concluded that it's overheating. The power supply is reaching over 90 C when playin Eve.

I've dialed the graphic settings down to the lowest settings and it's still happening, so I think I won't be running Eve again on this machine.
